Company was assigned a service call by ***** ******** **** ********. Made the initial call, diagnosed the problem and stated they would order parts. Over one week later we had not heard from them. My wife called and they stated they were no longer working for the warranty company and would not complete the repair. I have two complaints. First, they should not be allowed to stop a service mid-cycle without completing the repair. We now need to have a second company diagnose the problem and order parts. Second, they never notified us they would not be completing the repair. When my wife confronted them about this they said "oh well".

I have received your complaint and negative review against my company. Please note, that I take any complaints or negative experiences very seriously. After a thorough review with my staff, I would like to address your experience.

      1. You stated that we were out and would order parts. Due to the fact that you have a home warranty company, ***** ******** **** ********, we never would tell you that we are just going to order the parts. Your home warranty company would need to approve the repair, which they did not, therefore we can not order the parts. That is something that you will need to take up with your home warranty company.

      2. We stopped working for your home warranty company due to their refusal to pay for labor. We do not work for free, as no company in the world does. As they did not approve the repair for the quoted labor price, we are unable to move forward with the repair on your unit.

      3. We did reach out to the number we had on file to let you know that we were no longer working with your home warranty company, as they had a staunch refusal to pay labor exceeding the service call aka the diagnosis fee (which you paid, not your home warranty). I would recommend calling your home warranty company and stating that you want another company to come to do another diagnosis and have them apply your service call to that repair company.

      4. Once again, I state, that we can not work for free, and this is an ongoing issue with your home warranty company and not our company. For example, if your boss said that they only had enough monetary resources for the equipment you work with but not enough to pay your hourly rate/salary; would you complete the project even though you would not be paid for it?

I understand that you are frustrated with a non-working dishwasher, but like I stated above, we would have loved to complete the repair, but not for free. You are welcome to pay out of pocket for the repair, if you wish.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The warranty company sent another repair firm to complete the job. I dispute that the warranty company did not approve the repair. Signature appliance evaluated the situation on February 2. I have an email dated Feb. 3 stating that they approved the repair. Secondly there were two numbers on file to notify us that they would not complete the repair and a call was not received on either phone. They were able to contact us to schedule the initial visit. It is odd that they could not contact us to inform us they would not complete the repair.
