Lakeshore dry storage customers beware! Signed up for the boat owners worst nightmare in June of 2020. The marina assured us they would keep our boat safe in dry storage and that could not be further from the truth. They damaged the ladder, the rub rail, and there were black shoe marks on the stern of the boat every time it was launched. Soot from the lift exhaust and raccoon footprints were a constant headache. All of these things were signs of what would finally lead to the demise of the boat and I wish I would have listened to my instinct and stored the boat elsewhere. On June 2nd I was informed "of an incident that occurred which resulted in damage to your boat during its time being stored. While we are unsure what caused the incident, the result was that another boat fell from the top rack of the Marina’s covered storage down onto three other boats, one of which was your boat." My boat, lightest of the four boats that fell, was on the bottom rack and the heaviest boat a 27 foot boat that obviously pushed the limits of the rack was placed on the very top according to the lift driver. The only communication that I got from them for a month was lawyer jargon that claimed that they are not responsible for the safekeeping of my boat. The owner contacted me to say we will fix your boat but you need to get quotes for the repair. The companies that I spoke to stated that they charge hundreds of dollars to give quotes and the repairs will equal more than the boat is worth. One of the companies that I spoke to about repair was on his way to meet the owner that afternoon and the owner has denied that meeting ever happened and said he was going to meet with them at a later time. Lakeshore Marina destroyed my boat and it is not my fault that they overloaded the top rack. I want my boat replaced asap! How could a company go through these paces to say its my fault that they destroyed my boat?

      To the Better Business Bureau:
The Lakeshore Marina, which is no longer owned or operated by Lakeshore Marina, Inc., or Laurenne P*****, has been in direct contact with Mr. ******* with regard to this issue, and clearly, Mr. ******* is dissatisfied with the result of that conversation. At this point, Mr. ******* has threatened legal action against my company, and I’ve been advised by my counsel not to discuss the circumstances of Mr. *******’s claim publicly.
I can say that none of the boats in our dry storage exceed or even approach the weight limits of the racks on which they are stored. I can also say that our actions in this matter have been in compliance with the contractual obligations on both Mr. ******* and the Marina which were negotiated and agreed upon by Mr. Lindsay and our predecessor at the Marina.
Thank you for your interest in this matter.
      Lakeshore Marina Management, LLC

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: There have been no threats made by me. If the limit of the rack was not breached the boat would not have fallen. Was it previously damaged? Was it lift operator error? How old are the racks? Should I be held accountable for my boat being destroyed by Lakeshore Marina? Is this an issue that is putting other boats at risk, more importantly the people that are in close proximity to the racks? My boat didn't crush itself and my 10 year old son really wants to wakesurf again this summer.
      Sincerely,
      **** *******
