I have never felt so violated. I came in as a new donor. They tell me what I can expect to be paid and I agree. When it comes time for my 4th and final payment, which also happens to be the largest, they decide to use a student. Not only did she not know what she was doing but freaked out and left the needle dangling from my arm while screaming for someone to come help her. Seeing this, I asked her to just remove the needle. She then told me that I could clot. The lady in charge came and tried to fix it. As she moved the needle around in my arm, I began to loose feeling in my fingers and pain going up my entire arm. I never had a problem with all 3 of my prior donations, until then. Not only did they not apologize but they covered up and twisted the incident on paper to make it seem like I did something wrong, when the worker literally left the needle dangling out of my arm. When I go back the next week, they concoted a story about me grabbing the needle so that's why they only paid me $5 then and $70 instead of the $125 for the full donation they received when I came back. It's horrible because most people are there not just to help others but to try and help themselves as well. Had they been upfront about what they were going to do about my pay, I wouldn't have ever donated. Now that I see the underlying wickedness and deceit, I'll never do it again. It's just another way to exploit poor people under the pretense of helping.
