Not happy with the outcome of working with this company and now will be spending more money looking for a new company to REDO the job. I had roof damage and siding damage due to the Dec 23 tornados. I am completely underwhelmed by the responsiveness by this owner, or lack thereof related to the contrating for repairs on my home. The company completed a roof repair job on a section on the back side of my roof damaged by flying debris. What I saw when I got home was a mix match hodge podge roof job. I am aware that weathering could cause some limitations in a perfect color match but my original roof is only 2 yrs old therefore minimal color changing in roofing should have occured. What I got was shingles much noticeably darker, likely a total different color that is making my brand new house look like an old shack and the worst house in the neighborhood. Its appaulimg and embarrassing this is what I got and needs to be corrected! I asked to cancel the siding job which hadnt been completed yet as I felt essentially ghosted on when the rest would be completed and I was significantly worried that I'd get a hodge podge patch job on my siding too. I am convinced that a color match was never attempted by this company and the workers were told to just get some shingles and put them up there. I expected more, especially when charging $700 labor for an hours work. This gentleman said he prides himself on responsiveness but that's not what I got. He said the rain got them behind and he sarcastically apologized for the weather while all the while all the houses around me got whole new roofs, fences, siding etc... all while experiencing the same weather. Weeks and weeks went by without me hearing a single word from this contractor. I have owned several homes and in my eyes that responsiveness is not what I've ever dealt with and nothing to be proud of. In total I'm down 1K and I think this company should earn that money by making this right and putting on correct roofing.

I am truly sorry you feel this way. I stand behind my business name and the results I produce. The majority of my business comes from referrals from past clients and other business professionals who know the service I provide, and the quality of the outcome. My name and my business are something I am very proud of. I have also learned even when you give 100% it’s unfortunately impossible to make everyone happy. Your roof repair was done by a licensed roofing professional. A shingle was removed and color and brand matched. If you look at your roof the shadow lines and keyways are all identical. Your existing shingle color is GAF Charcoal. The repairs that were done, were also done with GAF Charcoal. After two years of constantly being exposed to the sun and inclement weather, your black has now turned gray. Please remember your roof never receives cover from anything. It’s exposed to the unforgiving elements 24/7. This is a common occurrence and does tend to show up more on darker roofs such as yours. That is why I do include the color match disclaimer in the contract. This was cited and explained prior to my company starting the job. Even after just a few months of exposure, shingles start to change. There is no way at all to make brand new shingles match existing ones that have weathered. I can only compare this to if you have a 2 pairs of black pants, one pair brand new with tags and the other pair washed 2x a week for 2 years. The color and saturation of the two would vary greatly based on wear and abuse. The same goes for your roof. As for the lack in response, I did explain that I have recently changed my software, and I was unaware that emails could be sent to the software email address. You were provided with a direct email address and personal phone number, which I did not receive the correspondence on. I have since corrected that issue with my software. You, just like all the rest of my clients, were a priority. Again, I am truly sorry if you felt otherwise. I address all of my clients as sir or ma’am, as I try to always give the utmost respect. Unfortunately, some things… Like the weather, are out of my control. I do always feel bad when they hold up the completion of a job, though, and I did feel an apology was necessary because you were unhappy. It was meant to be sincere and not sarcastic. This is why I truly prefer to have conversations in person or over the phone, as the diction in a text message can be easily construed. Your job was completed over 30 days ago, and It truly saddens me that you are now feeling frustrated. Again, I do stand behind what I do, and I do believe that your job had the best possible outcome without redoing the entire roof. My goal was to repair the roof to the best of my companies ability, both in function and aesthetically. The shingles are laid correctly and they function as intended. If you would like to discuss this further, I would truly prefer that we do so over the phone or in person, as again… I do believe the diction in a text message or in this case on a platform, can skew the perception of the reader.
