      On Tuesday, January 25th I saw a Vintage Fender Lead II guitar listed on this business's Reverb page. Reverb is an online site where people can post and buy new and used musical instruments. The price seemed like a pretty good deal so I wanted to act quickly. I noticed that this particular reseller (Windmill Guitars) had a brick and mortar store based out of Cleveland, TN. I figured it would be best to contact the store by phone rather than message the seller via Reverb. I called the store and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Trey. He said if I purchased the guitar over the phone instead of on Reverb, he would give me a good discount and have it mailed out the same day. I agreed (in hindsight, this is where I should have denied this request and purchased through Reverb where I have some sort of buyers protection). After receiving the guitar a few days later, I noticed something was wrong right away. The guitar just seemed "off". I immediately noticed that the strings weren't properly aligned with the neck. They were at an angle. So I plugged in the guitar and the sound was just awful. The pickups sounded thin and I could tell right away there were electrical issues with the guitar. I started to get frustrated as I realized that this guitar had issues. So, I called my guitar technician to set up an appointment for his to look at the guitar. I then called Windmill guitars to voice my concern. Again...no voicemail set up on the business line, so I couldn't leave a message. I took the guitar to my technician a few days later. Upon inspecting the guitar, he made the discovery that the guitar is a complete fake. The body is a plywood, not solid wood. The pickups are cheap knock offs. and the bridge is non original and a cheap copy. Since then I have called multiple times and left multiple messages on Reverb. The owner has refused to call or respond. I would like a complete refund for this fraudulent guitar.
