We had a roof installed by this business June 2019; however, the damage caused by the improper installation of the new roof did not surface until Labor Day weekend 2021 when we first noticed water damage on the inside of our house along the peaks of the tongue and groove wood ceiling in the loft area. On 9/9/2021, I called Ryan B***** (**** ********* the owner of the business to inform him of the issue. He came to the house the following week, inspected the damage, confirmed that they should not have installed a ridge vent in a house with no attic and that is what caused air to be trapped in a way that caused the condensation that caused the water damage. He assured us that he ran an honest business and would cover the cost of not only the repair of the roof, but also the damage to the interior ceiling. He even called his rep at his shingle supplier to talk through the issue on speakerphone so that we could hear his explanation of what caused the damage. Over the course of the next few weeks, they twice sent a couple of folks to spray a bleach solution to remove the mold. That took care of that issue, but there still remained the water damage itself. On 11/9/2021, Larissa, Ryan’s assistant emailed me to let me know that they would begin looking for someone to do the remaining repairs, but that it might be resolved quicker if I did some research on my end as well. I began doing so. During the fall and winter, I developed some health issues that caused me to have to focus my attention elsewhere temporarily. Still, I called when I was able to do so. We live in a somewhat rural area where some types of contractors are hard to come by and after what I felt was an exhaustive search, on 3/9/2022 I emailed Larissa to ask her to let me know what progress they have made on their end to find a contractor. She let me know that she was on leave, so I began attempting to contact Ryan directly. Since then, I have left numerous messages. None have been acknowledged.
