In June, I left my healthy 7 lb. Chihuahua at this facility while my husband and I went out of town. The 3rd day that we were gone, I received a call from the owner saying that she found him on the floor dead and that she didn't know what happened. Long story short, I had her take him to the nearest vet, who then called me saying that ***** had a sudden heart attack and died. He and Amanda both kept wanting me to let them have him cremated for us since we were out of town. Like that was doing us a favor. I declined and had my niece pick ***** up and take him to our vet to examine and give me a cause of death. When my niece picked up *****, she immediately noticed the cover over him had blood on it. She asked what happened, and Amanda said that he had been attacked by another dog. The cremation they offered would have covered up the truth and we would never have known any different! My vet confirmed that a much larger canine brutally attacked ***** by crushing his torso, puncture wounds on both sides of his body damaged internal organs and bruising all over his body. He provided pics of the injuries and they are gut wrenching to look at. Later that night, my husband phoned Amanda and asked for the truth. By her own admission on a recorded call, She had let ***** out of the kennel and had him on the floor with other dogs and her. Someone came in the front that she had to talk to, so she left them alone in the room..and when she came back, ***** had already been attacked and was on the floor, lifeless. Reckless, negligence and pure stupidity on her part and our healthy baby was murdered because of it. The State of Tennessee does not regulate Groomers or Boarding Facilities. Your furbabies are only considered your property and not a member of your family, therefore, she is only responsible to pay us for out of pocket expenses that we may have, and the replacement value of *****. He can't be replaced!!! He was a priceless member of our family and we are devastated!!! This place is just a business... like all businesses, she is only after your money. Your pet and it's safety do not matter to her! Since this tragedy, others have come to me to tell their experience at this facility. None of these stories are good, and turns out, ***** isn't the first victim here. Please, for the love and safety of your pet, stay away from Diggin the Doos! Please, Don't let *****'s death be for nothing!
