I was not made aware the new dentist was out of network. She took over from previous retiring dentist. I have paid all bills on time no issue. Have teeth cleaned in the past no issues. I feel the previous Dr. didn't write off but I had no bills from him after insurance. My children both went and received teeth cleaning and 3 fillings each during the months of May,June and July. During those times. I was contacted to make appts and reminded of appts. I also received in the mail reminders. I was NEVER once made aware of any balance during this time. Children were NEVER made aware of any outstanding balances when they went each month. I did recived a bill in Sept of over 1230.00. I called asap. **** sent me the billings and i noticted that it had something along the lines on no preferred patient. At that point I called and asked about not being in network. That was the 1st and only time I was made aware and I asked after seeing this. **** let me know that it usually works with all ****. They are in TN not AL. I asked 3 different times for a discount due to not only my error. Nothing is giving. This is beyond shady billing and dental practice. They made sure to get all done before even letting me know anything about this bill. I don't mind to pay some but I feel this bill should be highly discounted. As previously stated. I have NOT had this issue with the previous dentist. I also don't want any negative hit on my credit report. I have always paid all outstanding debts.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/10/04) */ As I am a medical provider and sworn through HIPPA to maintain patient privacy without having a copy of said signed HIPPA release form and without having a patient fill out a release form for my office directly there is too much potential for liability and breaking of said HIPPA oath for me to respond to this on a public forum and I will responding to the patient directly.
