I am seeking return of my deposit. The apartment was inspected and the inspector said it was beyond satisfactory. The manager of the property, *******, has been avoiding contact with me apparently and this leads me to assume that they are avoiding return of the deposit since they have to check with the property manager constantly for some reason. I want what is legally mine under the law. I did not break lease, gave notice and went through the appropriate steps to have the deposit returned without any reason to keep the deposit.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/30) */ Mr ******** applied for a property on ******* ave, his application was accepted while the property was still avaiable, the he decided to provide a biling authorization to reserve the unit he wanted to rent, he also signed the lease for the property. We reserved the property for Mr ******** and turned down other applications and stopped showing the place, At the move in date Mr ******** decided that he no longer waned to move in to our property. Our application agreement which i attached here clearly explains that a prospect should not reserve a unit if they do not plan to move in as this slows down the renting process and the company looses money everyday the property sit vacant, the application agreement also states that if you provide a reservation fee an decide not to move in to the property that such reservation will be forfeited to compensate the cost of the days lost and the additional days it will take us to get the property rented. If there is still an unresolved issue please contact XXXXXXXXXX Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) To this "rental business" how do you want to do business or plan to rent your unit when I asked to meet someone in person just answered: I have to make a payment first to move forward when at the beginning I received a email from their firm saying that unit is already out from the market (rented). For me and everyone this sounds like a scam trying to collect money after receive a email from them saying the property is already rented and also they removed the rental sign from the property I don't believe on them after this happens.
