On May 28, 2022, I purchased (4) velvet chairs from Home Furniture in *******, ** that were delivered on June 4th. Minutes after sitting on one of the chairs, I realized that the legs were falling apart so I reached out to management, immediately, about repair/replacement. ****** who sold me the chairs, informed me that ******* was responsible for delivery and repair. I contacted ******* and he assured me that a technician would come out to fix the chairs. When the technicians came out, they attempted to fix the chairs with larger screws but they actually ended up stripping the holes because they used larger screws which made the legs loose and the condition of the chairs ever worse. So, inevitably - later that day, the chairs fell apart again. I contacted ******* to let him know and he assured me that he would replace the chairs, but has not. Instead, he fell silent to my calls and texts. Yesterday, on June 15th, I texted one last time to inform him that I would be filing complaints with consumer protection agencies for his and ******* fraudulent and unscrupulous business practices. After days of falling unresponsive, he called in reply to my text to tell me that he has nothing to do with the manufacturing of the chairs and that he will not send anyone to deliver replacements, which is why I am contacting the BBB. I believe that ***** and ******* are importing low quality and defective furniture to sell in the ****************** and that they both knew these chairs were defective and/or would fall apart when they sold them - but did not expect that a person like me would buy them, follow up, and exercise my right to call out their unscrupulous conduct and file complaints. I want a full refund for these defective chairs. Please provide support.
