Initial deposit to hold our place in line for landscaping work to begin was made in July 2022. Final payment was made January 16, 2023 in good faith even though there was still work to be completed. Total cost of landscaping project was $53,340 and in full.I will attach all my email correspondence with ***************************, owner, which documents what work needed and is still needed to be completed. I have not heard from **** since May 2.He gave his word that he would complete the job and personally come finish. Neither statement came to fruition.Since January when final payment was made, there are still several items left to be completed:1. Install Turf Banding: Turf was laid, but is not right. Even after he sent one of his employees to finish the job (he did not do the work himself as he indicated he would), the turf is still coming up, unraveling, rippled, and the seams are very evident.2. paint brick that was laid to match the existing brick 3. repairs holes in the columns of my porch where his ******* ********* tarps to "protect" the porch.4. screen needed for the french drain 5. the turf glue adhesive removal from the concrete where it was dripped As I said before, I will attach our email thread with all of these details and pictures of proof that the work still has not completed. I have no confidence that he will complete the job or that he is capable of completing it correctly.We are asking for $5000 of our final payment to be refunded so that we can hire someone else to complete the job.One of ****'s biggest selling points was that he did not take on many jobs at one time so that he could stay personally involved. Sadly, this was not the case for us.Business response

In response to the complaint provided by *********************** through the BBB. Landscape Creations, Inc. and myself do not disagree that we have not followed through on some of the detail work needed to finish out the project. We do however disagree with the solution to the problem. The accumulated detail work necessary to complete as per contract is not close to $5,000. Upon my last meeting with **** ****** in May, our office manager was out for three weeks and we ********** this slip through the cracks. We respectfully ask for the opportunity to complete these details the week of July 17th through July 21st according to the contract on the project and any warranty items.

BBB NOTE TO BUSINESS: The consumer would like you to return to perform the work. Please provide a date. She did not receive an email from us containing your first response and was thus unaware of the offer.This is an email the consumer sent me today.
We would have gladly let Landscape Creations come back to complete to the job, but to date we have not hear a word from them. And per the email thread that I put in my initial complaint, you can see that he has not shown up when he said he would to complete the job.We believe that the estimate is fair as the turf may need to be completely replaced.Thank-you for sending this to us. Hopefully, we will here from landscape creations soon.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
We do accept the business' response, but we must hear from him by Friday, 8/25, and want the work completed by Friday, 9/1. The only reason an extension to the 9/1 date would be accepted is that the weather prohibited the work.

I am rejecting this response because: **************** did come out and paint the brick and very poorly repaired the nails holes in our columns. The holes are still very visible.
**************** said he had contacted ***************** to come out and remove the glue which is all over the stamped concrete, but this has not happened, yet.
**************** also said that he would order the new turf, but we have yet to see or hear from him since his last email on 8/26. I am forwarding this last email to you.
I have contacted ********** which is a turf installation company. ************** has said the in order to fix this job all the turf needs to pulled up. His estimate to replace is $14-$15/lineal ft for turf installation and $5-6/lineal ft to remove and scrape the old turf. We have approximately 155 lineal ft.
Please let us know how to proceed.
