I had two malfunctioning refrigerators - one in the kitchen (ice-maker not making ice), the other on in the garage (lower refrigeration compartment not cooling). To save time (I have sufficient knowledge to do the work myself, but I'm quite busy with may day job), I call*******************. A tech comes out, twists the gear on the ice-maker, listens for a click and says it's ok now, it'l make ice in and hour or so. The other refrigerator has ice all over the evaporator and the fan is blocked by ice (this is most likely due to fridge doors being occasionally left open in summer). Tech thaws the evaporator/fan and says all good now. He says, if anything is not working, call us, there's warranty and there won't be any additional charges unless we have to provide some spare parts or replace the gas in the fridge system. I pay $110 (with tax). The next day, situation is exactly the same as before the visit nothing working as it should. I call ********, talk to another customer rep, child crying in the background, I tell her I need the tech back because nothing works. They email a quote for $450 (ice-maker $125, plus gas refill, fan etc). I finally look at the garage fridge - sure enough, he did not thaw the passages between the upper and lower compartment - no wonder it doesn't cool below when there's no way for the air to pass between the compartments. I thaw the fridge, everything now works fine in the garage. I call back, tell them i'll order my own new ice-maker, want the tech to come out to replace it for free. Now I'm talking to a man, possibly the owner. He says I have to pay for the labor. We get into back-and-forth, he is convincing me that I'm clueless, refill is absolutely needed and the evaporator will freeze again in few days. Well, here we are - a month later, garage fridge works and cools fine overall without ANY ice on the evaporator, the kitchen fridge has new ice-maker ($90 online, plus half an hour of my labor) and makes ice. Long story short -stay away from this company, not professional, nor des it provide good service/advice.

Customer paid service call / labor 110.00 including tax. For that they received a diagnosis for 2 appliances. The kitchen refrigerator need an icemaker. Customer wanted to purchase their own part. We can not warranty parts that we do not purchase. Garage fridge had a frozen evaporator and fan assembly. We defrosted freezer compartment (approximately 1 hour). Advised customer problem could have been caused by doors being left open, low refrigerant or a bad defrost system. Unit was cooling when technician left. Customer called back and stated he ordered icemaker for kitchen fridge and was given an estimate for all parts for garage fridge. Ones not needed would be returned. Customer stated that he defrosted freezer and all was fine. I advised customer if ice returned within a week to 10 days that a defrost problem was likely the cause and a defrost heater or timer would be needed. Customer wanted technician to come back and install icemaker that he purchased for free. Stating that he paid 110.00 and we did nothing. I advised customer service call is 75.00 for diagnosis and 25.00 labor was more than reasonable to defrost freezer. If he wanted technician to install icemaker he would be responsible for labor. I'm not sure what a noisy grandchild has to do with anything. (we work from home) Wayne R****** -Owner
