During a strong thunderstorm in August 2022, a portion of my yard next to my driveway was washed out due to flooding. I reached out to Landscape Solutions to buy sod to repair a portion of the damage. I talked with Scott, asking him for him for his advice on how to fill in a huge washout hole next to my driveway. He promised to come by, take a look and offer a solution. Despite three visits to the business and six phone calls to remind Scott that I needed his help, the first time I heard from him was via text on 5 October 2022. Despite repeatedly telling him that all I wanted was to fill the hole the right way, he insisted that I needed an engineering study and that he could not help me. I told him the right thing for him to have done was to tell me that in August, not October.

I visited Mr Schaffers address the day he first called. He replied, he was at the golf course and asked me to take a look at his issue. I went accompanied with my business partner, we crawled around the culvert for half an hour for our free consultation. Mr Schaffer has a culvert at the end of his driveway that is too small for storm water to flow adequately. He said he had the Cumberland County Road superintendent and the Fairfield Glade Road superintendent to his home on multiple occasions and they "offered him no help." He was seeking my advice on how to address the issue. I explained that, I think his culvert needed a headwall and that water looks to be funneling outside of it and causing erosion under his driveway around the culvert. I offered him the website to a local engineer for further discussion to get his issue resolved. He replied that he didn't want engineering advice, he wanted me to fill in his hole. I replied that I could not help him further.

That I know of, he has gone to social media ( Nextdoor App ) and the better business bureau to file complaints against me.

We first established in 2001, 19 years ago today. Starting capital was a wheelbarrow and a pick up truck, strong work ethics and integrity. We now employ many full time staff and have a good trustworthy establishment. I have worked very hard to service my community in the trade I am in, the best way that I can. I have a passion *** this "8 day a week" career, sun up to sun down with more variables coming at me from so many angles and moments than people realize. I handle them all the best I can. It's a very demanding but rewarding career. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to specialize in what we do in the community we serve. All that said, I try but sometimes fall short.

Regrettably, I did not meet Mr Schaffer's expectations and caused him grievance. I wish him well in getting his issue resolved.
