This situation happens several times each year. My doctor submits 90 day prescriptions for my Diabetic medications as my insurance provider prefers 90 prescriptions. However, on multiple occasions, Kroger Pharmacy staff have given only 30 day supplies and when questioned, they lie and blame my doctor's office or my insurance company. I then contact both my doctor's office and insurance company to find out otherwise - that it was not THEM submitting or limiting my prescriptions to 30 days, but it is in fact, Kroger Pharmacy. The latest incident occurred on March 10th when I picked up prescriptions for Lantus Insulin and Humalog Insulin. I was given 30 day supplies for each, and when I questioned Kroger, they became rude and nasty about it. I had my doctor's office attempt to resolve the situation; they were only able to secure another 30 day supply of Humalog. I am still missing another 30 day supply of Humalog and 60 day supply of Lantus. Kroger is now saying I cannot get the remaining Lantus until March 30th. This is not acceptable - it is their error and I want what my doctor prescribed NOT what Kroger deems adequate. I will be switching pharmacies, but I would like this matter resolved first.
