4/27/2023, I took my truck in to have a front driver side wheel bearing replaced. The next day, I heard a terrible grinding noise coming from that location. When I looked, the caliper had almost completely become detached and was grinding into my rim. The business is not open on the weekends, so I had to park my truck for safety concerns. Upon taking my truck back on Monday 5/1/2023, the business reattached the caliper declaring it safe for driving. They offered zero compensation or solution to the damage done to my rim, caliper, rotor, or brake pads. The manager, *****, told me Im not going to compensate you for speculations. He claimed the damage to the rim was cosmetic. None of these problems were there before I had my wheel bearing replaced. They have caused me nothing but lost time, a headache, and $350 for a wheel bearing.Business response

When the customer returned with the problem we immediately repaired it. There was no damage to the caliper ,rotor or pads. The wheel did have a **** on it on the inside and it was cosmetic. I was trying to talk to the customer and he said he wanted compensation for the possibility that he could have gotten into an accident. I told him I wouldnt speculate on the possibility of any accident. He also wanted compensation for not being able to drive his truck because we were closed. He wants it fixed and we did fix the problem and as far as the cost of the bearing he has the new bearing on the truck.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I am not asking for compensation for not being able to drive my vehicle or for the possibility that I could have been in an accident. I simply want my vehicle in the shape that I dropped it off for business. I attached a photo of the wheel. You can clearly see that the damage is more than cosmetic. It is a deep ***** all along the inside of the wheel. When I mentioned this to the manager his response was Im not replacing a wheel on a **** ***** which made me feel he was trying to devalue the damage based on the age of the vehicle. I simply want my wheel in the shape it was when I dropped the vehicle off for service. Instead, I paid $350 for a wheel bearing to be replaced and I ended up with additional damage to my vehicle caused by the business.
