I purchased a car from Affordable Autos on feb 21st 2022. I was presented wit a clean ******* and the car was fine during test drive. The car over heated and I took it to the local Dodge deal and paid $3400 to have a new coolant system installed. With in 24 hours of these repair the car overheated again and now needs a new motor costing $8400. It is my belief that I was sold a lemon, these word were also use by **** the finance company and the local dodge dealership. The vehicles warranty will not cover this damage so I will now be paying for a car that can not be driven unless repaired.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/05/31) */ Mr. ******* purchased a 2013 ***** ******* on Feb 09, 2022. We offered Mr. ******* the opportunity to inspect and test drive, also provided him with an ********* which reported to no issues. On May 18 we received a BBB complaint. After our investigation, it was determined that on or about April 18, 2022 Mr. ******* took the vehicle to a ***** dealership in Dickson, TN in regards to the car overheating. According to ***** they diagnosed a leaking water pump and possible front end collision along with a camshaft position sensor (radiator and a/c evaporator brackets were bent). According to Mr. ******* he authorized them to repair the vehicle. Also according to the customer, it overheated again less than 24 hours after getting it back from *****. ***** again diagnosed the vehicle, however, now the cooling fans were no longer working. The warranty company denied his claim for repair. We afford all customers the opportunity to inspect, have inspected and test drive a prospect vehicle before purchasing. Mr. ******* never contacted our office about any issues with the unit until he filed a BBB complaint against us when we had nothing to do with the repairs or overheating.
