I purchased a new vehicle on June 1st. I have called several times and stopped in once to check on why my trade in hasn’t been paid off. I can’t get an answer and am now getting threatening letters from the financing bank. It’s been 41 days and nobody can tell me why my trade in hasn’t been paid off.

We bought a car from this dealership last month and rolled 5000 dollars into the car loan to cover a total loss. The dealership has not sent the money to our bank after a month and has lied about the money ever day. The finance company has not received any paperwork on our vehicle after a month after the dealership told us the money was overnighted by them. The dealership gave us a copy of a check from them that they also claimed they could send to the bank in person the next day. When we call nobody answers or returns our calls and the manager threatened to repossess the car after I refused to continue to give them information when we still don't have the promised funds after a month. The finance person lied to my husband telling him the check had already been sent two weeks ago. Extremely dishonest people and now it appears they are purposely withholding the funds from us as the copy of the check is directly from their dealership and not a finance company. They are causing us great financial strain not upholding their end of a contract.

I Paid $40,000 for a 2018 mustang gt, I was told it was a great car ran great, found it a little odd they wouldn’t let me test drive it without someone from the dealership driving the car even though I was pre approved, come to find out the motor was blown and they were trying to cover it up, I was told later on that the sales manager at the time (Tony) knew about it and still proceeded to tell me it was a great car and how it ran great and he’d take it anywhere just for it to be in ford service less than a month later

I bought a 2017 Chevy equinox and had it delivered. I have had the car a little over ninety days. I have asked repeatedly for my paperwork PMT info and papers to get tags and received nothing. Two weeks ago I finally got the 45 temp. Tag. A few days later the stabilitrak light, check engine lights came on and the toms wouldn't work. The car would go into limp mode. Now it doesn't start and says loss of communication. Code. When my mechanic was looking it over he found zip ties holding the wires to the harnesses. They told me this car was serviced twice before delivery. I still have no paperwork or pmt info. When contacting the car lot the salesperson refused to answer or return my calls , when dealing with one of the managers he told me to lose his number and they were going to repo my car. I have every text and email correspondence with them and have. Only asked for this car to be taken and another one given in it's place yet they refuse to even fix the one I have and want to repo it. This car has been wrecked and had damage to the front end I wasn't told about , a long with the half attempt to fix the wiring. This car could have killed my daughter and myself. They should never have sold it period.

      Good Morning,

Regarding our transaction with Ms ***** ******, we have had difficulty communicating the entire time. We released the vehicle into her possession in good faith. She made no attempts to help us complete the transaction with the bank and has not made any payments on the vehicle at all. We had to research the situation on our own and found out the vehicle was wrecked, without the loan being complete. To make matters worse, she did not have insurance coverage on the car, which has placed the entire financial burden on us. There is absolutely no reason for us not to communicate, since until the loan was perfected, all of the liability is on the dealer. We are still in need of assistance to locate and retrieve the unit in question.

I bought a 2018 Jeep on 07/03/2023. I traded in my Hyundai at the time. I had come in with a letter of financing, knowing that my financing status is difficult d/t a bankruptcy filed in 2019 which has a year left to pay off. My credit is otherwise fine with no other issues. The only delay was requesting the title on the Hyundai from HMF which took a little over a week to obtain. I sent the title and the extra keys via FedEx to the dealership. I was told that they would process financing and NC would issue a new plate and registration. None of that happened and I called the dealership several times and got different reasons it wasn't done yet. Ultimately, I was told to drive back to the dealership to sign new paperwork. They would fill my gas tank for me and then we would be all set. I drove back to the dealership and no one knew why I was there. There was no paperwork to sign. They filled my tank and told me they would email the missing documents for me to scan back. The following day they called to say there were "technical difficulties" and they would get back to me with an email. I was traveling for work and let them know they could email me whatever was outstanding. I called again when I was back and was referred back to finance. I called finance and they asked me for documents that they already have on file. I now have fines and citations from the State of NC for not insuring my Hyundai (which I do not have) and I am unable to register my Jeep without the dealership doing their part. We are almost 3 months out from purchase and they keep trying to finance me with another finance company- I have received over 15 rejection letters in the mail and my credit score dropped. I did not understand what they were doing with the financing -when I came to them with a letter authorizing financing through Westlake. They keep saying they got me a better rate - but no financing has gone through. They also keep attempting to find another finance company.

      Good Afternoon,

We are grateful to have the opportunity to serve customers in the city of Elizabethton and we take pride in the business that we do. In regards to this transaction, we have the financing secured and have sent the associated documents via email. Once we receive the information back, we can finalize registration. There should not be any fines charged once the proof of the trade is given to the state. If for any reason that there is, we will be happy to take care of the fines. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to finalizing the sales process.

      Thank you

I found a used Land Rover I liked so I called CDJR of Elizabethton to inquire about it and was told it was available. I was 5 minutes away when I got a text from the same guy that said they haven't inspected it yet but I can still come see it and if I like it they'd have it inspected the next day and if I was interested in any other vehicles which I said yes. I got there and was shown the Land Rover which I really liked but wanted to see if they had anything else I liked and they kept steering me to a top of the line Jeep Cherokee which was nice but was more expensive than the Land Rover and I let them see if I could get either one financed after the $10k I was going to put as a down-payment. I was told I didn't for the Jeep but never heard about the Land Rover. They said they were going to see if I can on different cars. They said I do on a different Cherokee and they showed me a paper that showed a price of $19,991 and below that -$10k for the down-payment which looks like it left the $9,991 to be paid. I was told to come sign other papers and as I'm doing that he says it comes with a 3 year 36k warranty and I asked was it bumper to bumper and was told yes. So he says sign and initial in different places and it wasn't on actual paper it's on a digital desk with a digital pen and it didn't have any numbers filled in. So I got home and look at the papers sent with me and saw the warranty is $3,250 and the remaining balance on a $17,991 car was $22k so the next day I called and was told to bring it back to get a refund. I got there in 25 minutes and was told that guy had just got off work even though it's 20 minutes before they close, so that guy says I can't get a refund and he's overruling what the first guy said cause he's in a higher position. I feel like I was being deceived from almost the beginning. I also think that I shouldn't be told one thing only to get told something totally different. I was also upset that the price it shows online is not true.

So if a business tells you that they're going to do something it doesn't matter whether they even try to do it or not and they are able to say that the issue is resolved and that's the end of it? What does the image mean that I uploaded that says "Money Back Guarantee"? Also I am on disability and I only get about $935 each month so when I put down $10k for a down-payment that's almost a year's worth of income so to spend that much money on a vehicle that I haven't liked since I left the dealership and called the whole next day and I was told that I could bring it back and they'd give me a refund but I got there and was told that I couldn't and I needed to leave or they're going to call the cops to make me leave just cause they were closing and I was trying to get my paperwork and go to the door. I was willing to take a exchange instead of a refund but I don't guess it matters what a dealership says and they kept saying that they'd get me in a different vehicle that I was happy with but they didn't make any effort at all to do that. Very disappointing that a dealership is able to use deceptive advertising to get more sales and that one of their employees says they'll do something and then a different employee will tell a customer the exact opposite and they did that to me on several occasions and about several things one of which was offering me a refund but when I got to the dealership I was told by a different employee that he was overriding what the first employee said and that he was in a higher position of authority and that's the way it went right before I was told to leave cause they were now closed for the day and as I was getting my paperwork off the table and was walking towards the door is when the comment about calling the cops happened. It seems like you're actually not neutral about resolving a complaint against a business but that business is paying the BBB. I guess if that's the way you make money then why would you go against the business that is paying you. I guess I'll have to see if the state government is more neutral than what you have been.
