My dog went missing about a year ago. I was looking online for him today and a dog, "Scooter" matches his description. They were rude and refused to let me meet him in person to confirm, claiming they got him 2.5 years ago in Pulaski TN. I pulled the address up on google and drove there and it is a home, not a shelter or business building. The woman said that she "doesn't meet strangers to adopt or look at dogs" when I had already sent in the application like she asked. I told her I was interested in "Scooter" regardless of if he was my dog that was lost before hand and she started telling me that I was a liar.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ When this woman called us on the phone after submitting an application as we requested, she explained that she really wanted to see if this dog was her stolen dog. I explained that this dog has been with us for over 2 1/2 years and could not have been her dog. I have documentation as to how long we have had this boy and the long term timeline. She became very agitated when I said this could not possibly be her dog if hers disappeared only a year ago and I asked her did she want to adopt or just to look at the dog to see if it was hers? She became very agitated and twisting my words and would not let me speak with her in a reasonable conversation. This dog with the timeline that she said cannot possibly be her dog. I explained that, and she just got more unreasonable and said I denied her the right to see if this was her dog. I honestly am scared of this woman visiting anyone in my organization. Her timeline on her dog being stolen is NOT in line whatsoever for how long we have had this dog in our care. Knowing that her loss and when we took him in was almost 2 years apart, it is not a visit that I want to take place and I do not want someone that is this unreasonable and quick to anger to adopt from us. The conversation was very one sided and she cut me off over and over as I tried to talk logically with her. I got no words in hardly at all. She talked loudly and was quick to judge and twist my words. Not a stable person on the phone. We talk with hundreds of people weekly and never have I had someone so hostile on the phone like this. Sorry, but I would have worked with her had she been a nicer more calm person on the phone. I do not trust someone that acts like this to be reasonable in person.
