In December 2021, I requested a quote and received 3 separate call backs apologizing for the inaccurate quote and increasing the price each time. The last time he promised he would not charge me anymore than the quoted price even if it was more. On 1/11/22 I purchased ** ft. of pipe from this company and received a call back apologizing for forgetting to add the 3% credit card fee. I reminded him of his previous promise and he said he was sorry and there was nothing he could do about that. I ended up only needing to use **ft. of the pipe and called to let him know I would be returning the pipe. He then explained that he would be charging a *** restocking fee. I told him I was unaware of this policy and he simply said that was the policy. This policy is no where to be found. I am requesting the *** restocking fee credited to my credit card.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/05/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was never informed of the 25% restocking fee prior to the purchase of the pipe. This policy is NOT on their website. My contractor was also NOT aware of this policy and even called ***** to help us get a full refund. I WAS charged the 3% credit card fee on 1/11/22. Total charge was $******* (including ** tax). I ordered **' of pipe at $***** per foot and another ** ft. of pipe at $***** per foot. ** state tax is 9.25%. I am only requesting the additional 25% restocking charge ($******) to be refunded to my credit card. This is a result of not FULLY informing the customer of all transaction policies prior to purchase. Business Response /* (4000, 22, 2022/06/06) */ In response to the complaint, I do not tell everyone that we have a re-stocking fee because I don't automatically think customers are going to return the products. A sign has been on my desk for the last 5 years and, the "Policy" is clearly printed on every invoice I have written since I've worked here.
