On and around September 22nd, 2023, **** led a team of irrigation installers to install sprinkler system on my lawns and flower beds. Before the installers left, I pointed out to them that some of the main lawn areas and flower beds were not adequately covered by the sprinkler heads. Some quick fix was applied, but stlll left a huge portion of the main lawn and some of the flower beds uncovered. I have complained to **** and *******, the office manager, but both are playing hard ball. They just dont seem to care about customer satisfaction nor online reputation. I need them to come back and install additional sprinkler heads to cover the mentioned areas above. Also, they need to winterize the system for free, as per job requirements and documents.

I requested, on multiple occasions, for Nashville Irrigation to check the system and find out if there was a leak. I explained the significant issue I was having with our water bill and that there had to be a reason for the high-water usage. This was after ***** verify there was no issue with their system and there were no visible signs in our yard of a leak this size. I contacted the company, an irrigation professional, to investigate why the system they were maintaining was leaking. After multiple requests to get their crew to check, I was told nothing after they restarted my system. This spring I had to take the initiative to find out what their crew discovered in their limited check of our system for leaks. I was told the crew, or someone, assumed there were no lines under the house and the crew was under no obligation to look under the house. A prudent professional, knowing there was a leak, would have taken an extra step to remove four thumb screws, stick their head inside the crawl space and hear water rushing out of a pipe. That's all the foundation company, ***, did and they had nothing to do with irrigation maintenance. *** was able to turn off the irrigation system, knowing nothing about it, by turning a valve on the piece of equipment Nashville Irrigation installed in April of 2022. It would seem that, to check for running water Nashville Irrigation could have found the leak by checking to see if anyone was running water in the house and if so, shut it off. Then, check the main meter at the street to see if the meter is moving. If nothing is on in the house and the valve on the backflow device is turned off, and the main water meter is moving, there is a leak in the irrigation system. Without hearing back from Nashville Irrigation about checking for leaks it appears very little effort was made to assist their customer. All of the hassle and cost could have been avoided by turning a small valve and observing the meter.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/18) */ Our technicians examined the irrigation system that was not installed by our company and not installed as a textbook installation. The irrigation system was tapped in at the meter; therefore, there should have been no reason for the irrigation system to run through the home's crawlspace. Since no irrigation system components should have been in the crawlspace, there was no apparent reason for the technician to check for a leak there. We are sorry that you had to locate the leak yourself; however, we agreed to significantly discount the cost of the repair we returned to make at your request. In hopes of resolving this situation, we are mailing out a refund check today for the amount of the repair. We understand that our ties will be severed from this point and wish you the best in the future. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/07/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) While I do not accept their reasoning for not looking for the leak, I will drop this after I find out how much they are refunding. They did not say in their response but just used the word repair. That could mean that they are only refunding the reduced amount they charges to fix the leak. I will insist on being made whole for the additional repairs required as a result of the failure to locate the leak in the first place. I will notify *** after I receive the check. Thanks Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2022/07/22) */ I received a partial settlement offer yesterday in the form of a check for $132. This is unacceptable. I will not cash this check but file it in my safe. In the company's latest reply to BBB they did not accept responsibility for my loss due to their incomplete response and failure to properly report back to me. My original complete request for restitution remains open.

Nashville Irrigation and Lighting owner is attempting to retroactively bill me for requesting help on our neighborhood ******** page back on or around May 25. His wife saw my question asking where the On/Off valve was located to turn on the water to my irrigation sprinkler system and directed me to her husband. He lives in my neighborhood so minutes later he showed up. I did not make any service request through his company because at the time I had no knowledge of his occupation. He did arrive and we began to look for about 1 minute until we discovered the area was covered by grass. I bent over and turned the valve to the on position since all I needed was help to find this panel. I specifically asked if I owed ANY money to which he replied no of course not. I thanked him and posted a recommendation on ******** praising his assistance which was FREE of charge. At no time was I ever presented with a bill on instruction on cost of ANY type and even by his own admission this was a friendly neighborhood visit NOT a service call for emergency services. Today I was scheduled for a winterization service from his company on 18 November 2021. Unfortunately, the visit of 8:30-10:30, confirmed by a phone call received 17 November, was changed to 3-5 with no notification. This time did not fit into my schedule so I requested to cancel this appointment. Hours after cancelling this appointment I posted a review in******* explaining my experience. A response from the owner appeared around 1 pm. Immediately following this response a bill for $425 was sent to my email at 1:43 claiming "Emergency Service Request" for the assistance received on or around 25 May 2021. At no time was any attempt made to bill me UNTIL hours after a negative review was posted. There was no request for money at the date the owner of Nashville Irrigation and Lighting visited my home and he would not take ANY money offered for the visit. This is a case of a neighbor helping neighbor not $425 in service.

      02/08/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/02/07) */ Each attempt by Nashville Irrigation and Lighting to remedy this situation, to include the dissolving of any open invoices, was met with hostility and unwarranted slander. This account has been inactivated and will no longer be served by Nashville Irrigation and Lighting. Our priority is to provide exceptional service to our clients, and as a member of this community, the best interest of each of our neighbors will always remain paramount. Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2022/02/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No attempt to contact me has been made to remedy this situation. You can not spontaneously generate charges for services that were not rendered. If any such service was rendered I ask where is the proof? What agreement or conversation took place? Perhaps this neighbor and owner of the business has me mixed up with another person. I feel this is a personal attack on my family and now character. At no time was I presented an expense estimate for ANY service rendered. At no time were any employees of this business at my property for a work call service appointment of any kind. Implying I have an account with this company is false since I have not conducted business with this company for any fee. Threats and intimidating tactics such as false invoices should not be permitted as lawful business practices. I noticed this company did not respond to any request made by *** despite several attempts confirmed by *** on November 30th, 2021 and it is now February 7th, 2022. I received a notification that this company failed to reply *** this morning which is more than 2 months after these attempts by *** were made. The claim that several attempts were made to remedy this situation are false as no phone call was made apologizing for their false invoice and no letter sent to my address. I have not stated false claims and before this experience believe the owner and neighbor to be honest. I am disheartened to see in these remarks that he alleges I have been untruthful and hostile and have no idea where this rumor began. It is not hostile or slander to report false service charges through the appropriate channels. No submission of any kind has been made to make these ridiculous allegations seem legitimate. I however do have evidence that seeks to intimidate me and my family through false allegations.
