We started renting with iStorage in Gallatin, TN when we moved to an apartment in the town in April. At the time, we needed a unit with climate-controlled storage so we paid the extra for that time of benefit. The website for the company makes the following statements: * Climate controlled = heated, cooled and humidity control * iStorage protects your belongings from damage due to extreme hot and cold temperatures. * At iStorage, temperature controlled storage never falls below 55° and never rises above 85°. Imagine our surprise when in the middle of Tennessee July, we go to get something out of the storage unit and the AC is completely off. 95 degrees and the hottest days of the year so far and the unit we pay extra for has no climate control. My wife goes to the office to make them aware. More surprise that they know it is out, it has been out for days and instead of being available at 6pm when the air conditioning repair company can meet them that night, they'll just wait until the next week to repair it. My wife is not happy and lets them know we have valuables in the unit that can't be in extreme temperatures (because why else would you pay extra for something like that?) and their response? "You shouldn't store anything you care about that much in a storage unit". Really? That's the response to a paying customer who is paying an upgrade for THE EXACT SERVICE YOU'RE NOT PROVIDING? This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had with a company. To add insult to injury, I got a card in the mail today that our rent for the storage space is going up $16 per month! They're not providing the service I'm paying for and now they want to charge me more for it. Find another storage company, this one doesn't actually provide what they advertise.
