I bought a used 2020 kia **** from this company on july 29, 2023. I was told the car was reliable and was offered a bumper to bumper warranty. 2 weeks after the car was purchased, the car experienced over heating issues. I took it to get repaired. after the recommended repair was done. I had to repeat taking it to receive repairs for 5 months after the purchase of the car. The thermostat and coolant fan needed to be replaced. On the most recent visit to the repair shop visit. I am told that the head gasket is blown and the engine is warped from overheating that it needs to be replaced. I was told that this car would be reliable and had been inspected by a mechanic before purchasing. I have not put more than 3000 miles on the car in this 5 month time frame. The promised "bumper to bumper" warranty will not cover the engine due to it being damaged by overheating. I believe this was a preexisting condition as i never let the car overheat. Every time the temperature rose, i pulled over to let it cool before continuing .The dealership also does not wish to take action to help resolve this issue due to the purchase of the car being "as is".Business response

********************************** purchased a 2020 Kia **** from First Class Auto Sales LLC, on July 29, 2023. The vehicle was sold as-is between First Class Auto Sales and **********************************. The customer did, however, purchase an extended service contract, through ************.
One month after **************** purchased the car, we received a call from her mother, informing us that ****************' car broke down in ********* and was on the side of the road. We explained that the car was sold as-is between First Class Auto Sales and the customer, and recommended the customer contact ************, in which they purchased an extended service contract through.
We never heard from **************** or her mother after that date, until 01/24/24, when the customer called to say that the vehicle now needed an engine replacement. We again advised the customer to contact ************ and to file a claim.
We have had no further discussion with the customer about any issues with the vehicle until now.
This vehicle was sold "As Is - No Warranty between First Class Auto Sales and **********************************. The customer signed numerous documents agreeing to these terms.
We sincerely apologize that **************** has had trouble with the car. It is always our hope that every vehicle we sell will be great for our customers.
Sincerely,
First Class Auto SalesInitial Complaint

I went and bought a car put 1500 down paid full coverage insurance and paid for the warranty! The next day the car was put in the shop,They couldn't figure out the problem so 3 days after that they put me in another car.. a week after I got the car it had to be put in the shop got it out and 2 days later the check engine light came on with transmission problems! The car has been in the shop over a month and my 2nd car note is just now being due! The people at the car lot is basically giving me the run around about getting it fixed! The warranty (***) that i paid for won't send the parts that's needed! I called and spoke with someone at *** about the problem they assured me that he car would start being worked on 4/11/22, I called the shop where my car is on 4/13/22 and they knew about about the car being worked on dont even have the parts yet! At this point I've been lied to and played with I'm very frustrated and feel this and wrong in so many ways! Nobody is working with me trying to get my problem solved!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/14) */ I believe the customer intended to leave this BBB complaint for *** warranty (for their inability to produce the parts to repair the customers vehicle ). First Class Auto Sales sold the vehicle as is and is contractually obligated to those terms. The service contract coverage that is available to the customer is not with first class auto sales but is instead with a third party by the name of *** warranty Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/04/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS RESPONSE!!! A CAR WAS SOLD TO ME & THE TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN IN THE CAR WITHIN THE FIRST 30 DAYS OF MY HAVING THE CAR RATHER THE WARRANTY PLACE IS GOING TO FIX THE CAR OR NOT THE PEOPLE AT THE CAR LOT SHOULD BE TRYING TO WORK WITH ME AND GETTING ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE AGAIN THIS ALL HAPPEN WITHIN 30DAY OF HAVING THE CAR 1 WEEK AFTER BUYING!! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN ANOTHER CAR OR REFUNDED! THIS COMPLAINT WAS NOT MEANT FOR *** WARRANTY I HAVE A SEPARATE COMPLAINT FOR THEM!THIS COMPLAINT IS FOR FIRST CLASS AUTO SALES! THERE IS A LEMON LAW AND THIS CAR LOT IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! I HAVE 5 OTHER PEOPLE THAT I MET THAT HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEM AN INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE DONE. IM EXPECTED TO PAY A CAR NOT FOR A CAR I NEVER EVEN DROVE OR IT GOES IN MY CREDIT ITS NOT FAIR AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AND WILL BE DONE!!! I STILL HAVE NO CAR AND ALL THE CAR LOT AND DO IS POINT THE BLAIM THATS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS! ITS JUST A SHAME! Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/04/18) */ Lemon law does not apply to used cars. This vehicle was sold as-is. This was announced at the time of sale and was agreed to in writing as part of The retail installment contract entered into. We understand that it is frustrating and wish the customer's service contract provider *** would hurry upInitial Complaint

I bought a 2014 ********** sports outlander car from this dealer on the 09-09-21 and when we went to test drive the car I say the routine maintenance come on I told the sales representative who was in the car with me he told he he will have it fix and no cost to me..... while we kept on driving I heard a sound coming from under the right passenger front side of the while I told him and he said he also heard it and will have it resolved at no cost...... and he told me that I also have wranty on it and I have a $100 deductible. So when we got back to the dealership he said he was going to talk with the general manager about the issue on the car which I thought he did... while he wanted me to sign up all documents I told the general manager about the issue too and he said I should hold off a bit but just to make it clear this is my first car... now I have to replace the transmission for this car because I was told that is a preexisting issue so now i have to pay 12,000,000Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/18) */ if you will refer to your paperwork there is a specific document titled "we owe" it is a form in which the dealer would have listed in writing an itemized detail of any promised repairs between first class auto sales and the customer. Any promised repairs between dealer and customer should be notated on this document. In reference to your service contract, it is with a third party and not first class auto sales. If you refer to your paperwork you can find the detailed instruction in how to process a service claim.
