Charged $146.88 by Charter Service I'd previously submitted a review (Ref ******), but would like *** help me get this situation resolved. I spoke to Captain ***** (************)at the business. I was assured my credit card was needed to make a reservation, but I would not be charged unless I confirmed the reservation. I never confirmed the reservation but was charged anyway. When I complained, Captain ***** claimed he doesn''t use credit cards. I'm extremely dissatisied and would like my money back.

      Business response

      10/14/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/07) */ It is simple, we talked and I told him my prices $*** minimum and he said he would get back to me if he wanted to book an charter. That is my total involvement. This is what I posted at the *** regarding his review. I don't know how to clear this situation up. If ***** is convinced it was me and has stopped researching the phone calls and contacts he made. There is nothing I can do to disprove it. He has all the information. All I can ask is he check his phone logs. It seemed he was calling a lot of different people. He called me twice about details. We did talk and he said he would get back with me. The next contact was when he called with this accusation. Can't his card let him know who made the charges? All I can say is, I no longer take credit cards (been 4 years), I don't take advance deposits or payment, and look at my reviews. Since 2008 I have had nothing but 5 star reviews on ***,, ******, my website **************************, and ************. No way I would risk that reputation and particularly for $***. also, ***** told he was getting the credit card to reverse the charge. Consumer Response /* (***0, 7, 2022/09/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I did not provide my credit card information to any other business during my Nashville trip. While Captain Jesse claims he does not use credit cards, he insisted I provide card information to reserve a spot on the cruise. I was not in contact with any other business by phone. While, I have begun a dispute with my credit card company over this charge, they have said it will take up to 45 days for resolution. I am not certain they will reverse this charge and would prefer Cumberland Cruise company fix the situation they have caused. I'm extremely disaapointed with the way this situation has been handled. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/09/09) */ I did not make this charge. I beg ***** to look at his call history of who he called during that time. If you ****** Cumberland River Cruises, several businesses pop up. The only thing I can figure is he accidentally called someone else and thought it was me. Consumer Response /* (***0, 13, 2022/09/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) No I don't accept the resolution. The business still has my money and refuses to acknowledge the facts of the matter. It's incomprehensible why the business thinks this would be a satisfactory resolution.
