I signed a contract for a home remodel with Valley Boys Construction and Owner, Jeremiah ******* He cashed the initial payment on 9/16/2021. He did not begin work until 9/23/2021. His contract stated that it would take 30 days not including weekends or holidays to complete the job and that the job would be turn key and delivered in 45 days. I was explained that this difference was in case there were any issues found. I have been told several dates of completion. October 28th would have been 30 business days. I was told November 18th would have been an additional 15 days which would be the 45 maximum days stated in his contract. I began to voice my concern over the job not being completed in early November. I was told November 1st it would be completed by Thanksgiving. That didn't happen. From then on I've been told several dates and none of them were ever met. A $10,000 final balance was to be paid at the completion of the job. On 4 separate occasion he asked for money out of the final payment. 2 $2000 payments, $1000 payment and using my credit card to make a purchase for supplies that had already been paid for by me, and a $100 payment were all made prior to letting him go. On 2/15/22 I went by the house to check on progress and after realizing I was mislead about the status of it I voiced my concern face to face. Jeremiah then threw his tools down and raised his voice saying he quit. "**** it, we quit. We will take the loss" after his wife calmed him down she came to me asking me if I wanted it done. I said yes, by Sunday for a final walk through. On Sunday the house was not complete. He said it would be done on Tuesday. Tuesday night, at 630 I went to the house to check on progress after him not replying for 6.5 hours to find that barely any changes had been made and found water damage to both vanities. At this time I made the decision to fire VBC. I sent an email and let him know and have since been threatened with legal action.
