I have never been more disgusted with a contractor in my life.We started a dog kennel build based on a basic drawing, project observation, etc.The quality of the work I received was not only horrible, unprofessional, and against code, but also the job was left unfinished.The building was wired without inspection with 20 plug ins on one breaker, hot wires were put into receptacles with no ground wire, different sizes of wire were spliced together with wire nuts and hidden inside boxes in the walls... I had to have a second electrician come in and re-wire the entire building at my own cost and then have it inspected myself to make sure the project was even legal and insurable.The workers would come maybe 3 days/ week and work about 4 hours per day. They had horrible quality work. They did not square the doors, they did not complete the metalworking, they didn't finish plumbing, they didn't install the ******** ****** left my property a wreck!!! I had to put the sheet metal back up by myself over Thanksgiving because they never came back!It was supposed to be finished in 3 to 4 weeks. Its been almost 8 weeks!The first light rain we had, water came running under the walls.The exterior door with the deadbolt was put INSIDE the building and the small interior door was installed as the main entrance door. Geeze!!When I asked them about specific issues, he'd say "I didn't figure the dogs would care..."Well maybe the dogs don't but I do! Paying $37k for a 2/3 finished project and a nightmare of mess to clean up is truly lawsuit worthy.At the end of the project, I wound up agreeing to a settle at $37,000 for them to not come back and us to finish the job ourselves.Now its December and I have an unfinished dog kennel and puppies with no other place to be kept. Myself and my husband are having to finish the building ourselves.Absolutely shameful work. I'd never recommend this business. Ever.Business response

I contacted ***** after ********************* had spoke with her and the issues she had with the project. We hired a local sub Copper Effects to install the metal and do other various trades. We have fired Copper Effects . After reviewing the pics and talking with *****, we have agreed to fix the metal panels and get the project completed to her satisfaction. We have hired another Metal Installer and the owner, ****** has been to the site and talked with *****. We are replacing and fixing the issues. We will make sure ***** and Elite are both satisfied with the work.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this proposed resolution is satisfactory to me. Provided all issues are corrected as promised, my complaint will be resolved. I look forward to seeing the repairs and corrections unfold in the upcoming weeks.
