I needed my roof replaced. After researching and evaluating companies,I chose The ************ Allen Company due to his BBB rating AND his participant level as a Preferred Contractor on ***** Cornings (OC) website. Each OC contractor agrees to the Terms and Conditions. One item in the Contractor Obligations is that they SHALL,install Products in accordance with the installation instructions, all applicable building codes, At the bare minimum,**** ALLEN VIOLATED THIS PARTICULAR ITEM WHEN HE DID NOT INSTALL PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS WHICH VOIDS MY MANUFACTURERS LIFETIME WARRANTY IF/WHEN THERE IS AN ISSUE. In the Standard Warranty ,WHAT IS NOT COVEREDsection,Item 4, it states,IMPROPER OR FAULTY INSTALLATION OF YOUR ROOFING PRODUCTS INSTALLATION MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS,. He did not install other manufacturers products according to the installation instructions either. In addition to the roofing material not being installed according to the installation instructions,he installed replacement roof decking in a subpar manner. There are at least two full sheets of decking where the end is not supported by a rafter. One of them, you can see daylight through the gap at the bottom of my roof. There are a lot of places where the nails on the other repairs missed the rafters by a little bit, and others by inches leaving the repair potentially unsecured to the structure. All of this is as viewed from inside the attic. He also damaged 2 of the 3 of my gutters and drove 107 roofing nails into the gutter to resecure it to the house after THEY DAMAGED IT. *** voiced concerns with the workmanship and voiding of mfgs warranties since the install date. He offered quick fixes but nothing that will fix my warranty from ***** Corning. 8/1/23,he said that he didnt do anything different on my house than the one he was putting on today.Due to BBB character limit, I will detail it in an attached documents.
