Morton Moving and Storage delivered my furniture to my home on April 25th 2022. 3 picture frames were broken, sofa was water damaged and stained, serving table broken, dresser had a cracked leg, and dinette table had screws that attached the legs twisted and damaged to the point that they no longer will attach to the table. My original price was $2,800.00 but the final charge was $4962.50 I was charged $450 twice for service that i never requested or needed.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Morton Moving and Storage has not repaired my broken furniture (pictures were sent to ** ************************** Morton moving sent AG's office claims form but refuse to send me the customer one and ********************** told me by phone they would have the furniture repaid or pay for repairs. They have refuse to answer my calls since delivering my furniture. Morton has copies of the broken and damaged furniture and so does the ***********. The lady with the State AG's office asked me to send Morton the pictures plus the Morton delivery man took pictures of the damaged furniture.

I spoke to *************** on the phone as the movers were finishing the job. He told me three picture glasses got broke and his table legs were loose. The table legs were loose due to old corroded screws that broke when removing. I told my driver to get new ones an replace them. I told *************** that we would take care of the pictures. I told my driver to bring them back with him so we could repair them, *************** refused. There were no other damages mentioned or noted on the work order as per his signed service agreement instructs him to do.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The delivery man took pictures of the serving table that was broken, and the dresser that the bottom was broken off due to the delivery men poor work. I spoke with Mr. ********************** on the day of the delivery and told him I would take my picture frames to have the broken glass repaired and he said he would send me a claims form (which he never did) to file for reimbursements for damages. As it relates to the table the screws were broken of due to the delivery men using the wrong tools. Mr. ********************** did not mention the damaged done to the my sofa that was delivered dirty, stained and completely wet. I only received my claim form after notifying the *********** of my complaint. Mr. ********************** continues to even mention the broken items that his people and I took pictures of on the day of the delivery. I will forward pictures to your email. The only thing Mr. ********************** said was true in response was that he asked his delivery man to bring the pictures frames back for him to repair. I informed him that I would have the broken glass replaced and submit with his claim form but he never sent the claim form as promised.

First, he spoke to ***********************************, not Mr *********************** *************** is saying both in this complaint that he did and did not receive a claims form. Since he did receive one from his *********** complaint why hasnt he filled it out and sent it to me? I did agree to paying for the pictures that got broken but not for him to get repaired. We dont cover particle board items. The kitchen table was put together on delivery with new screws. The other items are disputed but he needs to fill out his claims form and send it to us and we will look at settling with him at the rate on his signed service order at .60 cents per pound per article.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:First of all I said that Morton Movers did not send me a claims form even though they said they would on the day of the delivery. I received the claims form from the *********** after I filed a complaint against Morton Movers with the ***********. I sent a copy of the form with pictures to the *********** and to Morton Movers as the *********** requested me to. I still did not get a response from *******************, which is why I contacted the BBB with my complaint. I will send the complaint form to ******************* again with the pictures again. FYI: The ******************* delivery man took pictures the day of the delivery also. I wiil send pictures of the complaint form and pictures tto the BBB if you can give me an email to send to. Thanks for your help.

I am rejecting this response because: I have a complaint form emailed me by the *********** which I completed and sent to ****************** twice already completed and I received no response from ****************** or Morton Movers. I witnessed the worker for Morton Mover break off the s**** in my dining table and then say I needed to purchase a new s**** I sent **************** and Morton Movers pictures and one of his delivery men took pictures of the damage down to my furniture and said to me they would mail me a claims form which they never did. I will send the claim form and pictures again for the third time. Morton Movers is playing a game of delay and deny plus not telling the truth about their horrible service and "Bait and Switch," charges by which they quoted me $2,800.00 for pickup and delivery and then charged me $4,900.00.

I have not received a claims form! The one that he attached here is not filled out, it is blank. Fill it out and email it to me directly, not through some complaint forum. I am not changing the move price at all, he was not over charged. Yes, the prices he is saying is correct but what he is leaving out is that he changed his move. He doubled the move and had two months of storage charges added.Customer response
