      I purchased a brand new A/C unit from this company in April 2022. They did not install a filter box, and there was no filter stopping the unit from sucking up dust. We have been civil and reached out to the company on multiple occasions to have this problem fixed. They have come out several times, and there is now a filter box, but it is not properly installed. This is causing the unit to continue to eat dust.They also refused to clean the A-coil the day they installed the filter box (late June) and now the unit has become clogged and has leaked all over our floors. Our house also does not stay below 73 degrees. It was 80 degrees when we arrived home today.

      We changed out the unit per the owners instructions.There is no one living in the the house due to the remodeling. walls tore out and drywall dust everywhere. the old filter system was not sufficient. we installed a new filter box at no charge to customer. Cleaned unit. Unit is working very good.

      Hello **********,

      I tried to reply online, but it would not let me submit my response.

                    Unfortunately, I believe, Hays Plumbing Heating and Air, are referring to the wrong  installation. We were already occupying the residence on April 6, 2022. The installation for our house occurred on April 28, 2022. In addition, there was never a filter compartment/system installed until *** 26, 2022.

                    The filter that was installed in late *** was neither mounted properly to the system nor was it sealed off correctly to prevent the filter from being bypassed from air pollutants. The second filter compartment that was installed, this time with a proper compartment, was still not a viable option due to the 1.5" gap between the filter and wood decking. **** Plumbing Heating and Air, came out again to try and remedy the problem; however, they still did not actually connect the compartment to the unit itself. After many calls and many visits from this company, we still do not have a properly functioning unit which led us to contacting another company.

                    We contacted a licensed, bonded, and insured company to come and inspect our unit. Upon inspection, they found that the unit is violating many installation codes such as the following: unit is hardwired, unit does not have proper seal for exhaust pipe, gas control valve is not hard piped to the outside of the unit, unit and filter compartment is separated, overflow sensor is not glued to the drain pan, air return is not properly located. 

                    We were told by this other company that because of these issues, if we run the furnace on the unit, the unit will either explode violently, or our house will fill with carbon monoxide. These are many of the things still wrong with the unit. I will attach photos along with this for better coherence.

THE 2ND PICTURE SHOWS THAT THE **** PIPE WAS HOOK** UP CORRECTLY AND THE *** PIPE INSTALL** IN WHICH HAS BEEN COMMON PRACTICE FOR AT LEAST 30 YEARS. PER MANUFACTURES RECOMMENDATIONS YOU CAN NOT PUT A S**** INTO B-**** PIPING. IT WILL CAUSE GALVANIC CORROSION & WILL TURN THE ***** INTO POWDER VERY QUICKLY. THE DRAIN PAN SENSOR IS NOT GLU** FOR THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING IT FOR CLEANING & MAINTENANCE. THE FILTER BOX THAT WE INSTALL** AT NO CHARGE IS SEAL** WITH CLEAR SILICONE FROM UNDERNEATH INSIDE. WE DID ADVISE *************** THAT THE BEST WAY TO FIX THEIR RETURN AIR ISSUE WAS TO HAVE IT DUCT-** TO THE RETURN GRILL IN THE LIVING ROOM WALL.
