I called Manns for a road service on 5/25. Talked to ******, told him a something flew out of another truck and went under ours. The driver needs two tires, and has a fuel leak. He told me they could come out in about 45 mins, and the charges (Service $105 (2 hours min) $5.50 mile $320 (labor + 21 miles)). We agreed, then about 15 mins later called me, and said its going to be about a hour because he didnt realize there was a call before our, once again I said ok. Instead of the mechanic, The tow truck driver was sent to my truck without my authorization, first of all. One one even bother to call me to tell me a tow truck was even coming nor did we request a tow truck. My two driver and I discussed the prices and agreed on $350 since that what the road service wouldve cost. The driver gets to the shop, our service brought new tires and a tank, which the shop striped the bolts trying to remove and couldnt even remove the bolts to replace the tank. They they said they could cut off the tank until he driver gets to our shop, and thats what we told them to do. The fixed the airline, replaced the tires. Then I get the final invoice to pay, and they want $600 for the tow. Then they have the owner threatening about calling hazmat for the fuel leak and he was going to make me pay for the clean up on his parking lot because I dont want to pay. For one, they knew the truck had a fuel leak, they couldnt replace the tank, and they were suppose to cut off the tank and make sure nothing was leaking after. And now is holding my truck, until I pay him what he wants. And he has admitted this. They want to do business one way than after not even completing the job nor doing it correctly, want to change the prices. Attached are the invoices.
