I had a Bathfitter representative come to our house at the end of August and offer a quote on a tub install in a new house that I had just purchased. They required a down payment and I paid them $1760 dollars to make the appointment. A month later in September I still didn't have an appointment. I reached out to them several times and told them that I needed to move in and asked for a date. They had two measurements done at this time and had not even started on fabricating the vinyl tub. The second guy informed me that they would have to tear up the floor and that I would be responsible for it. I called to cancel and get a refund and they were extremely rude. They said that I only had 3 days to cancel if I wanted my deposit back. This was never disclosed to me in the beginning or I would have never given them a deposit to begin With! He basically told me that I was out of luck with my deposit and to have a nice life. Essentially, I have paid them nearly $1800 to do nothing at all. They refuse to work with us at all.Business response
