my wife was referred to this practice for oral surgery. her first appointment was only an xray which was also provided only weeks before by the referrer where both visits had $80 co pays. the entire time this process was progressing my wife was in extreme pain, her dental situation is most severe. the quote she received that day denoted the total amount of procedure totaling $3570 for 5 teeth which is about $700 a tooth. the website, i have uploaded an image below, clearly states they offer payment plans in many ways however my wife and i were told these options did not exist. when my wife signed the quote she did not undersand the pricing or the insurance due to she is not the policy holder. when she brought the quote to me i did my research and called the company. i was filled with jargon and teminology i could never understand. i was told insurance was in effect however nothing show that. by not explaining or insuring the customer understood what they were paying, mandating a full payment before surgery where no plan was an option, convuluting the procedure with arbotrage and loopholes, and the fact that this is a service that was a need...it falls under the guise of arbotrage and predatory practice. i find it predatory because you will need to get this money whether by family, friend or other. i was also told on the phone that when adjusting insurance we pay the full amount and after we then submit to the insurance company for reimbursement. this company also pays a fee not to be accredited. i asked myself why a dental surgeon would not want to insure customers the best service with a rating by the beareau do the the importance of the procedure? i can only conclude with little experience in the matter that it allows them to operate any way they wish under the guidance of the beareau. this area is saturated with methemphetamine abuse where many need dental work these folks are the poor, sick and needing. i certainly hope this is all presumptuous. thank you
