    I ordered and have partially paid for a bottom retainer from Martin Dentistry. The quoted cost was $550. My insurance is expected to pay 50% of this cost, so I paid $300 up front to cover the difference with the understanding that if my insurance did not cover their portion, I would be liable for it. I was billed on March 10, 2022. I was supposed to pick up my retainer on March 31, 2022. When I arrived to the office, the appliance was tried on and did not properly fit. I was told multiple times that the appliance fit the mold (which was taken by Martin Dentistry). It did not fit my mouth though, so I can only assume the fault comes from the dental office. Their mold clearly was no representative of my the shape of my teeth. For this reason, at the time of service, I stated that I did not want to accept the appliance, I wanted a full refund, and a cancellation of their insurance claim. I was told by the office staff to take the appliance with me and that the only person who could resolve my issue would be the regional manager. I was told she would be out of office until the following week but would then give me a call. As of 04/19/2022, I have not received the call that was promised to me to resolve this issue. In the meantime, I have since filed a chargeback with my credit card company, I have called my insurance and put a pause on the processing of their claim, and I have called the office on multiple occasions (prior to taking the previous actions) to attempt to find a resolution. It feels as though the dental office is intentionally ignoring the issue with the intention of keeping my payment and billing my insurance without providing the appropriate service. Ultimately, I would like a full refund, their insurance claim cancelled, and a formal letter stating that I have no balance with the dental office for any services rendered (all other services they have provided have been paid in full aside from this retainer business).
