I purchased Panoxyl Acne Foaming Wash from the local CVS in Johnston, RI. The purchased was made November 28, 2023. I used the wash twice. instructions for use were on the outside of the box and on the product. The box where I read the instructions did not indicate that the product would stain towels. Both of my new hand towels were use to pat my face dry after washing as instructed. Two days after I noticed that both towels were bleached in spots. I took the product back to CVS and the one of the assistance at the pharmacy looked at the box with me. There was no notice on the box that the product bleaches fabrics. I wrote to Crown Laboratories on 12/5/23 explaining what happened. They requested that I send them photographs of the towels and the receipt where I purchased the towels, which I did. I had to call back the company because they never gave me an answer. Before Christmas I called again and a lady told me that they would not replace the cost of the two towels. They said there is a notice on the box. I told them that myself and the assistant at CVS looked at the box and there was no indication of bleaching action. They said they would not pay for the towels. I know there was no warning on the box.Business response

We apologize for the inconvenience however the PanOxyl box does include a warning about the product possibly bleaching fabric. It is noted under "when using this product" in the warnings section.

Although the complainant has not produced evidence that the packaging did not include the warning, we are willing to compensate her $50 for the 2 towels which is based off of her order of 6 per the invoice she most recently attached.

I used the 4% benzoyl peroxide face and body wash and was left with bleach stains on my brand new $115 bathing suit and towels. I am beyond dissatisfied with the results of this product. I've read the entire bottle and noticed there was no warning for bleach stains. I demand compensation for the damages that have been done. There was no warning and I was left with horrible results. I'm hoping to hear back soon best, AvaBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/07/28) */ Crown was notified of this complaint on 7/25/22. Since then our customer service team has left 2 messages with and has not yet received a call back. No further action will be taken unless the call is returned.
