The Body Shop in Kingsport, TN XXXXX Address 1042 S Wilcox Dr Kingsport TN XXXXX. The Body Shop gave us a quote to repaint my bumper on my Chevy Traverse. They promised to have back in one week. Almost 3 weeks later I call to see when it would be done. Mind you I drive by The Body Shop daily taking my kids to school. I took into account for Thanksgiving & had been very patient. When I call the guy who answered the phone he said didn't even know what vehicle I was talking about & knew nothing about it but would talk to the owner then call me back. After almost 2 hours of waiting I called back. This time a different guy who knows nothing either, yet their names both are on the automated system when you call in. So he finally gets the owner on the phone Mark ***** Who weaves a tale to me that I didn't quite think was right. Now I was nice & pleasant as well as understanding. He tells me they painted the bumper but the paint fell off. They put it in the bake booth for a few hours to pull the oils out. Asked me where I got the bumper from. Then tells me that he had to order special adherence materials to make the paint stick. Naturally I ask if this will cost me more. I am assured no & that once they get it the special materials on Thursday - 12/1/22 that they would have it ready by Friday 12/2/22. Told me to be sure to put the bug in my husband's ear. So my husband drove by before Thursday took pictures & I went Thursday night took pictures. Still in the same spot with the same small specks of paint left from when we dropped it off. I called a friend who paints cars for a living because we had a feeling I got the "girl story". He tells me I did get the "girl story". I took my husband with me and went back to get my still untouched car on 12/2/22. Gave them a piece of my mind. This sort of thing happens alot when females go to any shop of this nature. We are bascially being discrimated against.
