I had root canal therapy January 6 and following this, the crown fell off as soon as I walked in the door. I had to go back and have crown reattached and then an infection followed up with this. They did not respond to my call or call in any medication. I lost the tooth that I paid her to save. ***** ***** billed my insurance for ***** The office did issue a refund but sent in the claim incorrectly, they filled it out to be sent to them as the recipient and this came out of my hra account! They have yet to correct the form and it is now August. They called my insurance and told them that they were ripping up the check but did not correct the claim! This is the most ridiculous office that I have ever dealt with! If these offices would be fined for such ignorance maybe, they would do their jobs correctly the first time.Business response

8/22/2023. I feel this complaint is very wrong and we had done everything prior to the complaint being filed to assist this gentleman. Again - the procedure performed in my office was root canal treatment and nothing was wrong with that procedure. He is upset because the crown came off and subsequently the tooth fractured. These issues were not a fault of care in my office. As a gesture of goodwill I did refund his entire fee. On the complaintant's part the communication has been very angry and unnecessarily so. His wife has been full of vitriol to the point that she was told we would only communicate with him - as he is the patient. He has threatened to involve an attorney. I have never had a complaint with the BBB (to my knowledge) in my 35+ years of dental practice. I think that alone speaks volumes. And this issue with his insurance company is also not due to any actions on my part. We have spent hours and hours - without any recompense - trying to assist this gentleman and it turns out it was all in his hands.Customer response
