The initial contract was to strip and reroof my home with 5 top ventilation and 2 gable louvers, one on each end. It was to include two rain diverters to be added where lower roof met the siding to the upper roof. Landscape was to be protected and gutters and screen repaired as needed. The contract price set by of Model City Roofing of $6450.00 was change by of the same company. The price difference at the time was not of consequence through his reassurance of all the items would be done. Talk began in July and the contract signed in Aug. Deviation from the contract and communications. Information was not provided on louvers or vents. No louvers were installed. Instead 10 top roof vents installed and is unattractive. The did not cut holes on all the vents they used a hatched. The diverters shoot water over the gutter down on to the sidewalk, creating a hazard.. The texted and said this is how they do all the installations. And they would lower the price a $100.00. This is not acceptable my roof should have been put in good construction methods per the contract. To fix all these problems would be quite extensive. I requested just now to talk to some one higher up and to show them the pictures, and was the boss and could make decision. said he was the boss, when he over road price. So I was refused to be allowed to talk to someone else in the company. Both have irritated this situation so, I have brought it to the better business bureaus attention. I am a Professional Engineer licensed in 6 states including TN. I have had my own General Contracting Firm licensed for Residential, Large Commercial and Industrial. I have stripped and shingled roofs my self. Non of the companies I worked for would have preformed in the manner. Just because this a PUD retirement, doesn't mean that contracts should not be performed as agreed.
