The service was performed on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at my residence, *** ********* ***** *** ****** ***** TN. The agreed-upon service was to fix a wire and connections in my gas fireplace. However, the invoice included unexpected additional charges for "Cleaning dry material and reapplying a special material against rain, heat, and fire." These additional services were neither discussed with me nor authorized prior to their execution, which I believe is a violation of transparent and fair business practices. My attempts to resolve this issue directly with the company have been unsuccessful, as evidenced by their response, which was to resend the receipt without addressing my concerns. I am seeking the BBB’s assistance in: Investigating the matter of these unauthorized charges. Facilitating the adjustment or removal of the disputed charges from my invoice. Ensuring that "5 star cleaning service" rectifies such practices to prevent similar incidents in the future.
