I was looking for a remote bookkeeping service and came across Remote Books Online. I inquired through their website and was contacted. I had a couple of conferences and agreed to hire them. They asked for a $100.00 set up fee and I gave them access to my bank, bookkeeping software, and credit cards. They said they would begin work. They said the first month would be free. After one week I saw no one accepted the invitation from either software. I contacted them through the 800 number and asked for my account manager to call me back. No once called. I sent an email - no response. We had a scheduled conference call which no one attended. After multiple attempts, I finally got my account manager on the phone. I told him I was not comfortable with proceeding because of what transpired. I asked for a refund of the $100 because no one from the company accepted the invites from the software so no set up was attempted. He told me the set up fee is not refundable. So now I am writing to you. I think its fair to have my set up fee refunded for obvious reasons.. Thank you
