I gave Monte Elliott of D&M Gate and Garage several thousand dollars as a deposit for two gate installations and the equipment. That deposit was made in November of 2022 and by May 31st of 2023 those gate openers were still not installed. I got a whole lot of excuses in six months. After he agreed to refund my money, two weeks passed and no check was received in the mailbox. I'm currently disputing the charge with VISA, as I have received no services and no merchandise for my money. This company has wasted my time and has been sitting on my money for half a year. I was initially referred to this company by a reputable fencing company out of Knoxville. I have since called them and suggested they no longer refer anyone to him. This company has been nothing but a disappointment!

When we spoke originally we told you that we didn't service that area but you asked us to anyway, we decided we would do the job anyway and yes you did give us a deposit I agree, if you will remember I was sending a crew and you had a problem with the gate we didn't supply and it had to be repaired before we could come, so we postponed, not our gate ! We just couldn't break free to go that far for 2 days, you asked for a refund and we sent a check out it wasn't cashed! You inturn filed with your credit card company a dispute. We have no intention of fighting that dispute, but have called our bank and placed stop payment on the check. YOUR MONEY HAS BEEN REFUNDED, we in turn paid all processing fees associated with the credit card company, This is exactly why we don't take jobs that far away, the fence company that recommends us has had at least 15 great experiences with us, I'm sorry we didn't get your job done but it just reminds us why we no longer travel so far, Honestly it's better this way because if there had been an issue after installation we would have had a hard time getting to you for service.

The business owner responded to my complaint with dishonesty. He stated that he sent me a refund check in the mail and I didn't cash it. THAT IS A BLATANT LIE. No refund was issued or I would have happily cashed that check in lieu of looking at a $5050.00 credit on a VISA statement. There is ZERO excuse for D&M Gate and Garage to sit on someone's money for six months without product or services!!
