We used 2-10 home warranty when our A/C unit stopped working. Had an Aire Care mechanic come and they totally missed that the compressor was totally blown. The resistance was 200% higher than normal and was causing the A/C unit to shut off. Was told instead that we needed to replace a breaker. After paying an electrician to come and replace the breaker (which didn't fix the problem), we called another local HVAC company who took the time to show us directly the problem and what was needed to fix it. We are out over $400 for bad service, and when contacting the company, they didn't even apologize. They just said they would let the supervisors know.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2023/01/04) */ ***Document Attached*** To whom it may concern, Aire Care mechanical provided HVAC service to complaint through their home warranty company. At the time of our visit we tested the systems electrical components as well as the electrical circuit providing high voltage power to the HVAC equipment at the time of that visit the breaker that is providing prime power was not providing sufficient voltage to the equipment for proper operation, we advised homeowner that this breaker would need to be replaced through their home warranty company and once the breaker was replaced and proper voltage was restored we would provide additional diagnosis at no additional charge. Homeowner disagreed with that diagnosis and chose to contact another company of their choosing that company provided what we believe to be incorrect information and the homeowner chose to purchase a new system from the other company outside of their homewarranty company. This matter is a difference of opinion or misunderstanding of the original dignosis the homeowner has the right to choose any HVAC contractor of their choosing. Aire Care has not provided any further services to the complaint it. I have also attached a copy of original invoice that specifies original documented failure.
