  We hired BJs renovation to install a wall to enclose our carport, replace the exterior siding associated with this wall and add an entry door. We were ensured that all the work was guaranteed and came with a warranty. We never received a written warranty explaining the terms and conditions of the warranty. The brand new entry door was dented, bent, and does not close properly. When we pointed out the door was damaged, the owner of BJs renovation just said “sorry I didn’t notice”. Instead of offering to replace the door he offered us a new handle which we declined since it didn’t address the problem. After the first rain, we discovered the wall leaked. We contacted BJ's renovation to fix the issue. It took him weeks to send someone. Weeks where it continued to rain and more and more water seeped into our new room. When someone finally showed up, instead of determining the source of the leak, he put a dab or two of caulk on top of existing caulk. This did not fix the leak. Since it became apparent BJs renovation was not going to fix the leak, we had a professional siding installer come out to see if they could figure out the source of the leak and how it could be fixed before it permanently damaged newly installed flooring. The professional siding installer determined the siding wasn't properly installed. He had to remove all of the siding installed by BJs renovation to find the source of the leak. It turns out the source of the leak was above the doors in a gap between the new wall and existing wall where Tyvek was not installed – although we were charged for a full roll of Tyvek. He also added aluminum flashing at the base to divert water away from the interior which BJs renovation neglected to do. All in all, we had to pay an additional **** to re-do the work we paid BJs renovation to do to have a leak-proof wall. When we advised BJs renovation of all of this and asked to be refunded we were told since we brought in another vendor it automatically voided our warranty. We believe that we should be refunded **** by BJs renovation since the company was unable and unwilling to correct the issue.
