My husband and I were out of town buyers. We were in the process of purchasing our home. Our Realtor recommended Mr. *** ******* from Home Town Inspections LLC to inspect our home before purchasing. We received his report nothing too alarming in the report. So we purchased the home. 5 days later we arrived at the home and discovered the kitchen cabinets had been burnt, but there was no mention in the inspection report. My son spoke with Mr ******** and asked him how he missed burnt cabinets? He stated the seller was cooking and he was going to come back through and he just missed them. He then mentioned to my som that it was his mistake and he would replace the kitchen cabinets. My son then sent an email to confirm the conversation, and he stated he didn't feel comfortable replying. He then told my son he would offer me $1500 to replace the cabinets. My son informed him that cabinet guy from Lowes stated they'd never be able to match the cabinets they'd have to replace them all. My son told him the whole bottom of the cabinet under the sink was all replaced with 2x6 boards and those were messed up as well. There was no mention that vinyl siding on the porch was replaced due to overheating. It was replaced with tin and doesn't match. The upstairs shower leaked through the ceiling into the master bedroom. The upstairs vanity has mold all over in it and is not attached to the wall. The dryer vent in the basement vents into a canister is crawl space. Again my son asked him how he missed all these things in his inspection report? We would have NEVER purchased the home had he done his job and inspected the home properly.
