One June 3, 2023 Amica/ Safelite destroyed my front dash cam and then tried to cover it up by attempting to dazzle me with free wiper blades. Their actions are adolescent, at best. This is an establishment whose whole profession is dedicated to replacing windshields in vehicles. Yet, they are completely inapt to remove a piece of double-sided tape from the glass? Instead, they decided to rip the device off, ruining the mounting clips on the device and then chose to neglectfully discard the mounting plate with the old front windshield. All the while, not communicating any of this to the customer, nor reporting the damage. Instead, they decide to cover it up, and pretend like it never happened. On top of all of that, they were not even able to complete the windshield replacement due to calibration issues so the service was not even completed after the destruction of personal property. I require a replacement device and they are dragging their heels getting back to me about it after filing a formal report with Safelite and with Amica insurance.
