On May 26, 2022 I got a quote from moving company owner ******* for a move from Oak Ridge, TN to Chattanooga, TN. The move was scheduled for 5/30/22 at 9-9:30am. I verified that they had a truck big enough to move my 1056 sq foot home and deliver it to my storage unit. I advised the items that I had including a fridge, washer and dryer. ******* contacted me on 5/29/22 to verify that we were still on for Monday, and confirm they'd be there at 9-9:30am. Monday morning ******* contacted me to tell me that they were running late and would be there at 10:30 instead. The movers did not arrive until 1 pm. Because the move was 2 hours away and the storage unit they were unloading into closes at 9pm and we had to get there in time to unload. The movers did not arrive until after 7:30pm and had to rush to unload the truck, I was also forced to help unload. During the loading/unloading process my Fridge, Washer and Dryer were damaged. I noticed and informed ******* about the damage to the fridge but had not seen the damage to the washer or dryer. However, when I did discover it I immediately notified ******* and sent pictures. ******* then told me that his movers advised this was damage that was already done to the washer/dryer and I asked why it hadn't been documented. Then ******* told me I must've done the damage when I went into the storage unit. He accused me of using a dolly/another moving company/etc to do the damage to my items. I provided proof to ******* that showed there was no damage to said items before they were moved from my house to the, which he asked for with the promise he would "Take care of it" once he received said proof. And then he stated again, this was all my fault and his men were in no way shape or form responsible. He asked for the part #'s for the fridge door, and I sent them to him, with prices, etc, and told him I wanted the dryer replaced due to the damage. Today ******* offered me $200 for the dryer and to replace ONE door his team damaged.
