Absolutely the worst experience ever!! Do not use Johnson’s and Sons. It went great until they had our money. We hired them to do our flooring and backsplash. 1. After we purchased the flooring we were told there was plenty in stock and were given an install date. They called us the Thursday before install it was now back ordered. They had attempted to just place the order 2 business days before install, we have paid a month prior. It took an additional month for install after the scheduled date. 2. I picked out my backsplash signed off on it. When the installer came to install it was the wrong backsplash. There was a lot of back and forth, me being told that was the backsplash I picked out, I never even looked at that backsplash. Finally they pulled the form I signed (not the order form) and lo and behold it wasn’t what I ordered. Vincent messed up the order. So now we had to wait until it was reordered another week behind. When they came the next week, they didn’t have enough, another week behind. I asked how it was possible they didn’t have enough. I was told by Vincent he guesstimated the average kitchen. Their cabinet person had come out and measured, why he didn’t get those measurements from her. I have no idea. After the installers came the second time I didn’t like how something was done and wanted it extended a little more. Told Vincent I wanted it fixed to order extra backsplash and have them correct it when they came out to install the final side. I was told ok. They never communicated with the installers so they refused to make the change. So now I either have to pay someone else to come fix it or just suck it up because Vincent said he quits and to stop communicating with him. We have been trying to get in touch with someone at the store but haven’t been successful. 3. The flooring installers tried stealing my husband’s tool that they asked to borrow.. why they didn’t have their own tool as floor installers I have no idea. Awful company!!!

I would give zero stars if i could!!! Most unprofessional run business I have been associated with in Knoxville. During installation installer called office and let them know he was having issues while laying the floor. He was told to continue to lay the hardwood and they would address any issues when the job was completed. When job was finished there were gaps in the floor you could stand a quarter in. Johnson and sons admitted there was a problem and came out an
examined the flooring. They then proceeded to contact the supplier and brought in a factory rep to examine the floor. Then hired an independent floor specialist from Atlanta to come examine
the floor. The company rep contacted us back and offered to make a settlement on the flooring but wouldnt cover the installation costs. Several attempts were made to talk with the owners at Johnson and Sons flooring and we were lied to and ignored. We would go into the store and be told owners were not in only see them slip out the back door. We were finally told by the foreman sue us we are not gonna do anything. They wouldnt even help get us the refund from the manufacture. The sons who took over the business are useless. Avoid the place at all costs!
******** carpets and salesman Dean ****** work with us and the same flooring company to get the job redone. We lost a lot of money with Johnson and Son, I hope they get their just dues

      Do not recommend.
We were trying to match a specific hardwood flooring that we had installed a few years ago by a different company. That company no longer carried that flooring, and Johnson and Sons was the only dealer in the area that we found to carry that flooring. One of the main disadvantages of Johnson is that they require the full payment up front. Most other companies require some percentage (50% seems to be standard), and the balance when the work is completed. Paying the full price up front leaves the customer with little leverage if there are problems with the installation- as we had. While I expected some scuff marks and scrapes from the installation, we had what I would consider to be excessive. I showed pictures to the salesman, and I would say that he was shocked by the pictures after the installation. Repairs involved drywall repairs as well as repainting the damaged areas.
There were other minor problems with the installation, and it became difficult to find anyone to talk to on the phone, much less complete the appropriate repairs. The work was finally completed satisfactorily, but it was five weeks after the installation. It was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend them.
