TVRA promised us the rental property would be ready to move in January 2021. Upon moving in, the basement ceiling was unfinished causing the basement to be unusable. The carport/ basement lighting was falling apart making it a fire hazard to use. Multiple outlet plugs were inoperative due to being pushed into the wall touching the wall. Upon moving out, TVRA has attempted to scam tenants with fraudulent cost of repairs. The home has only two sets of stairs that required carpet.Business response

We appreciate your time with us as tenants. Upon move out, there were damages and items that needed to be addressed that did fall under the Tenant Responsibilities portion of your Lease Agreement. We understand that it would be helpful to have specific notes and photographs about such charges, and that's why we were happy to share the detailed Move Out Inspection with you. We do seek out the most cost-effective remedies to repairs and cleanings for our owners and tenants, so those charges added to your ledger would reflect the best market rate available for items such as the replacement of carpet and haul away of large amounts of debris left by the tenants. Thank you for inquiring about more details. As always, we are happy to respond to follow up communication by phone, text, or email as we have previously communicated. We greatly appreciate tenants addressing their tenant-responsible move out charges in a timely manner and strive to provide the best service to all clients and customers.Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: Half of the dwelling was unusable due to ceilings unfinished and plugs/lights inoperable.
TVRA has failed to provide receipts for the cost of carpet replacement. Due to the little amount of carpet but a high cost I believe this is a fraudulent over charge. Labor and maintenance is listed in another charge.
Sincerely,
