Like the other person said very shady. Somehow got Safeco Insurance to pay 100% on a 21 year old roof, had 3 pallets of shingles delivered and only used one and a half pallets yet did not leave any shingles if a spare was needed, did not put flashing around chimney although they said they did and I have pictures proving they didn't. I didn't have any roof leaks before but after their work the new home owner sent me pictures of sheetrock damage in the upstairs bedrooms. They damaged and ruined a five hundred dollar gazebo that was on the back deck, left nails and debris all around the house and knocked over landscaping blocks in several areas. They also charged enough for water and ice that would amount to twenty cases of water per person and seventy bags of of ice for a eight hour job. They were also very rude when I spoke to them about all these issues so I will be contacting my insurance company Safeco as well as State Farm, Allstate and other insurance company's to warn them about this crooked company and well as letting people know nationwide thru social media.

In response to the negative review that was submitted:

1. It is very common for insurance carriers to pay for property damages at current Replacement Cost Value with the only out of pocket expense to the homeowner being the deductible. That is the case on this claim and the reason the only out of pocket expense is the deductible.

2. In regards to the allegation that we only used 1.5 pallets of shingles that is incorrect. There were 146 bundles of shingles ordered for your roof to account for the 47.67 Squares estimated by insurance, plus the additional 2 Squares we provide as a courtesy on every roof we install. The install required every bundle and no extras remained. Each pallet holds 48 bundles (which is 16 Squares). To allege that we completed your entire roof with only 24 Squares is incorrect and impossible.

3. If a leak has presented itself, American Roofing Company will address it under warranty if our office is contacted.

4. You pointed out that "a $500 gazebo was damaged" during the install. We accepted responsibility for this and credited your final invoice in the amount of $650 to go above and beyond the damages observed.

5. The entire sentence about the "water and ice" indicates that you have a misunderstanding of the meaning of the line item that your insurance included. As a code requirement, we install Ice and Water Barrier in all valleys to protect the home from water intrusion. This was completed on your property and is seen as a membrane lining the valleys of the home. Furthermore, there is not a line item to account for any refreshments or beverages provided to our crew in your invoice or estimate.

All work has been performed to the utmost in roofing standards. You referenced that the home has been sold. We will be glad to honor our transferrable warranty with the new homeowner if any leaks exist, which would be a rarity.

Furthermore, this review appears to be in attempt to avoid paying the balance owed that still exceeds $8,500 after the credit we provided for the gazebo more than it documents shortcomings found in the roof installation.
