On 11/9/20, we talked to EHS about installing siding on our home. On 2/8/21, we agreed to have them order and install the siding on our house. We paid the deposit of $2,347. We were told it might take a little longer to get the siding. We figured it was because of the Covid 19 virus. I sent a text on 3/1/21 to see if there was an eta on the siding, and we were told that he did not have an update and would keep us informed. They came and installed our siding on April 13, 2021, and we paid the remaining balance of $7043. I contacted ***** on 8/18/21 because the siding was starting to blister, and he had someone come out and look at the siding. We were told we had a five-year warranty and he would order new siding. I sent texts on 8/18/21, 2/11/22, 3/31/22, 7/9/22, and again on 10/13/22. they said the siding was on order; as of 6/28,/23, we still do not have the siding. On 2/21/23, I called the office and talked to Sergio, and he told me that the project manager I worked with no longer works for the company. ****** asked me to send the conversation to him so they could find a solution. I sent an email on 2/22/23 and another one on 4/24/23 to see if there were any updates. I have tried to call several times to get them to talk to me, but I have yet to have them call me with a solution. We want them to honor their commitment to replace our siding.Initial Complaint

On September 30, 2022 I entered into an agreement with this company to build a cover over my patio. I met with two people. One being a Board Member (owner), ****** ******* and the other being **** Headrick whose wife is a Board Member. I asked and was told **** would obtain all necessary permits (Building and Electrical), **** stated **** always use grade 1 lumber and would build with the same quality workmanship as my home. I requested **** use the same grade and quality roof decking and rafters with decking protector and requested ice and water shield be installed on the entire roof. In addition, I asked the builder to ensure the use of the same brand and color of roofing material, vinyl siding, soffits and gutters to match existing materials. **** didn't and there are numerous defects. The roof and J channels leak in two places on my covered porch. The siding materials were not installed as requested or to mfg. specifications/ industry standards. The lighting fixtures were not centered on the inside of the porch as requested. Two of the three beams installed to properly support the roof were not properly installed. **** both have cracks in them in excess of 1 1/2 inches, the center beam is cut too long and began bowing within 30 days of installation and is causing damage. Neither base bracket is installed square. The wiring run from porch to the single flood was to be installed per code and the fixture was to be hung in front of the gutter. It was not. In addition, there are gaps between the gutter and downspouts. Drip edge appears to be incorrectly installed, underlayment not done for low slope roof, **** damage to soffits/siding. **** knowingly and willing failed to obtain the required permits and acknowledged the fact. In spite of numerous emails and conversations with their office manager, as well as numerous emails and phone messages for ******. The only response I get is **** will let me know when **** can come out. Pictures are included.Business response

Ms. ****** was a pleasure to work with, so we're surprised that this complaint has been submitted by her, especially since there was adequate communication provided throughout the entire process. Exterior Home Solutions does use excellent quality material & is based on the customers need & financial ability. Ms. ****** was well aware of the material that was utilized, as well as the entire process of the job from beginning to end, since she was at the job site 95% of the time. She visited our office frequently & many discussions were held at her residence prior to the next step of work commencing. Each step was approved by Ms. ****** prior to us starting the next step. If there was something that she did not like, she would point it out & we would address it immediately. She was always present & walking around the job area daily. An example that we could offer is with the posts that were installed. There was one particular post that she was not happy with after it was installed, so we purchased an additional 2 & she selected the one that she wanted. This is exactly how this project was managed through out the entire process. She was always involved & things were changed if needed immediately. At the end of the project we had an engineer inspect the covered patio & at the end of this process everything passed to code. We're sadden by Ms. ******** approach, since we went beyond with her project. There's no hard feelings & we wish her the best with her future project endeavors.
