BUYER BEWARE!!! Guys told me what exactly they were going to do before starting job panels were put in different place than told, wiring was the worst. They said the small whip would come off the front of the house approximately 18 inches instead they ran about 35 feet of wires down the back of my house and across my roof and zip tying it to metal brackets they screwed to the roof well now the sun has created a sagging cable which now lays on my roof and is leaking into my house. We paid 14 thousand dollars for the new roof less than five years ago and they ate saying we had a preexisting leak. Stay away from this company. I called the day after install to voice my dissatisfaction with the quality of work done and they said it's just the way it's done. They don't want to fix my roofnow without me paying a roofing company to tell them they're equipment made it leak. Then what I doubt they will come fix it even then as they said they donotemploy roofers. What a joke. I have left several emails o their website which has been taken over by the state of Tennessee but in 4 months they still have not responded. Not sure what to do at this point, guess I'm out $50,000.00.Initial Complaint

We purchase solar panels March 2022. The solar panels were placed on the house and nothing more was done. We have not got an inspection we have not gotten anything completed. They need to come get the product and give us our money back.Initial Complaint

Last year I financed Solar Panels from Solar Titan USA. The cost for the solar panels was right at $35,000 Solar Titan lied to me about multiple things. Solar Titan explained the existence of the solar panels would lead you a reduced monthly electricity bill with Georgia Power (it did not) Solar Titan informed me that should I ever move houses that they would be here to move the solar panels for me (they can’t do that now that they are being shut down) Solar Titan informed me that after I got my taxes back I could use that towards the payments to reduce my monthly payments on the panels, well now there are issues with the IRS on the panels I assume because Solar Titan is out of business now. So I haven’t received the taxes from buying the solar panels and have had to amend two tax returns that still have not been completed. Now I haven’t been making payments to Mosaic because I don’t think legally I should have to make payments on solar panels that were installed incorrectly and thus malfunctioned. So Mosaic is reaching out to me in an attempt to collect a debt. I have 0 experience in selling solar panels and now even if I did sell them to attempt to pay off my debt from them I probably wouldn’t get back half of what I owe for them, AND my roof would be damaged from the installation left with holes in it. I need help, I need to know what steps of action I can take, do I have legal action I can take against anyone, do I really still have to pay for faulty solar panels just because I got screwed trying to make the world a better place. I filed a online complaint against Solar Titan USA on July 12, 2023 with Richard **** the court appointed receiver with the US District Court for the Eastern District of TN. The KY Attorney General Daniel ****** and TN Attorney General Jonathan ******** *ave filed a court case against them. On October 15, 2021 Solar Titan sold us a solar panel system that was too small for our house. My husband and I paid $43,000 for the solar panels. Our loan started on October 21, 2021 and the first payment was due on January 21, 2022. Solar Titan promised us a system that would work when the power goes out and ours doesn’t. We have had many power outages since our solar panels were installed and our emergency appliances did not work. We didn't understand why. We found out on July 7, 2023 that out critical loads (emergency appliances) are not even hooked up to the service panel. It is going to cost us around $400 to get this fixed since Solar Titan didn’t do their job properly. I informed Generac on July 10, 2023 and they will not pay for it. I called Generac on July 10, 2023 to inform them. Our case number is #8608251. Generac will not cover the cost of hooking up the critical loads. I called ReNew Solar Solutions on July 10, 2023 she said that it will cost $90 an hour for a minimum of 2 hours to repair the critical load issue. It will cost more if they have to come and are not already in our area. I am on a waiting list to be contacted whenever they will be back in my area to work. Solar Titan has been nothing but a scam and we fell for it. The workers are incompetent and did not do the installs correctly. I am very unhappy with our solar panel system especially since they do not even work when the power goes out. Now the business is bankrupt.Initial Complaint

Solar Titans USA out of Knoxville TN lied and we never received a copy of contract from them. It took months to get the system working and after they did I had a problem but could never get anyone at the company. I heard they had gone out of business. I was suppose to get a tax credit..didn't happen! I was suppose to get 1,000.00 for recommending my neighbor who also had system installed but still isn't working. I have made the payments each month 297.00 Two months ago I received a letter from Mosaic financial saying I had to pay 15,000 in July or payment would go up to four hundred something. They said this was in contract. I wasn't told anything about this by the salesman or never talked with anyone else from Solar Titans. I told Mosaic this information and also that I wasn't paying a higher monthly payment. If they want to come get everything to come take it all away. Are now sending past due notice for 600+ for this month.Initial Complaint

Promised lower electric bills, not so. Promised a 13,000 dollar federal rebate, not so. Installed battery cabinet wrong. Battery's froze last winter killing them. Not working yet. Contract monthly payment went up when I didn't get the Promised rebate to send in to them. Help! Also they didn't supply all of the batterys.Initial Complaint

04/15/2022 is the date of transaction beginning and again on 4/19/2022. the total before financing was ******** Was told we would get a $20,000 dollar tax credit to apply to the loan. That was incorrect. ******* is all. Also was told our payments would be $247.91 with a fixed interest rate of 6.29%. This is also incorrect. We have just been informed out payments are going up. and the interest rate is as well. No prior warning. We have tried calling and emailing solar titian USA many times even having family reach out with no answer, responses and a dead end. Only to find out today they have closed and filed bankruptcy? WE want the stuff removed from our home and the loan closed. So much misguidance and so many lies. They told us what we purchased would be enough to run our home on solar alone. Again a lie. It is not. The business has not gotten back in contact as they are no longer open from all the information we have. Even several segments on the news about how other are in the same position and cant afford the new rate/payment and all the lies. They use a loan company called "Mosaic" My acct # is ****** The Credit report states I have not been paying the loan yet I have proof I have made every payment since due as it is auto drafted from my account. I purchased a solar system from Solar Titan around April of 2021. They first told me I was on net metering and so I signed an install agreement. I found out on my own that I was not net metering so I called to cancel. They did not want me to cancel so they upgraded my system to cover over 100% of my average monthly bill. It took several months and a number of phone calls to get this system up and running (I also had to get most of this done myself). About a month ago my solar quit working. I tried to reach out to Solar Titan but found out they had been shut down for poor business practice's. I had another local company look at it and its going to need almost $3000 worth of repairs. I have no recourse now that Solar Titan isn't open. And while the solar was working, it was only covering about half of what they said it would. This system was extremely expensive and now I have a bunch of solar panels on my house that don't work and even if I get them fixed, are only doing half of what they said it would. This has been extremely frustrating to spend that kind of money and have it not working and not generating the kind of power they told me it would. I wish I'd have bought from a different company -- the sales guy was a veteran and he told me the company was veteran owned and that meant a lot to me. I'd like to have them cover the cost of the repair (which should be under warranty) and reimburse me some due to the system not doing what they said it would.
