      I began service with this company in 2021 and paid a year in advance for trash pickup and curbside recycling. For almost the entire time there has been an issue with the recycling going in the trash truck. I pay extra for this service and also spend time cleaning bottles and cans, collapsing boxes, removing labels, etc. I have been complaining since at least October, 2021 as I have saved the email responses from this company; I have also called on multiple occasions but do not have dates of those calls. The excuses are quite varied: 10/5/21: driver mistook "contamination" note on his tablet for my address instead of another 1/4/22: driver forgot that the holiday recycling break was to end on this date 1/20/22: received $20 credit memo good towards next year's recycling bill (my email on this date indicated this was the fifth time that I've seen my recycling put in the trash truck) 1/28/22: the recycling center was closed so they put it in the trash 2/2/22: recycling is run by a separate truck, this should not be happening 8/16/22: we have a new truck with two compartments, one for trash and one for recycling (bs - I saw my trash go in, my recycling on top of it, then my neighbors trash on top of that. 8/30/22: same thing happened today as 8/16. There are NUMEROUS reports of the same thing happening to others listed on my local Nextdoor app. For example: a post by Beth P. of Wexford at Lake Loudon neighborhood on August 3, 2022. She states in her post that she has seen for 3 weeks in a row Ward Waste put her recyclables in the trash truck. Many others have stated the same thing. One even states that a Ward employee told them that they combine them anyway and nothing goes to the recycling center. I would like proof that my recycling is actually being recycled, proof of a two compartment truck being used to separate it from regular trash, or I want a refund for the entire year I have paid for. I've never seen such blatant dishonesty!

      Ward Waste is a trash collection company who I've used for several years. For several months beginning in November 2021, Ward Waste stopped picking up my trash. I would notify them & would either get rude replies from their employee Megan or would be told they would pick it up the next day. Most of the time, they would never come back the next day to get it. This went on for weeks. On 12/22/201, I emailed the office once again to let them know my trash wasn't collected. I received a reply from the owner at 12:15 am that he was canceling my account! I had to scramble to find new service during Christmas and they only picked up my trash twice in 2 months! My husband had to ask neighbors to put some in their cans and also take it to the dump. *** **** promised a refund of 2 months of service, however the check he sent was only for 1 month. He verbally attacked me in another email he sent & was extremely rude & inappropriate. This business should not be allowed to leave a customer without utility service such as trash collection for as long as he did. It is completely unacceptable. Thank you.
